(NEW YORK, NY) -- Tony and Grammy Award-winning, three-time Emmy and two-time Academy Award-nominated performer Leslie Odom, Jr. will make a highly anticipated return to Broadway this fall in his critically acclaimed, Tony Award-winning role as Aaron Burr in Hamilton. The original star is set to reprise his wildly successful and iconic portrayal of Aaron Burr, which comes nine years after he took his final bow in July 2016.
Odom begins performances on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 for a strictly limited engagement through Sunday, November 23, 2025 at Broadway’s Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 West 46th Street, New York, NY).
The announcement was made this morning during Odom’s live appearance on NBC’s “The Today Show.” To celebrate the news, a new block of tickets has been released and is now on sale through November 23, 2025 at hamiltonmusical.com.
This return engagement comes as Hamilton prepares to mark a major milestone: The revolutionary musical will celebrate its tenth anniversary on Broadway this summer, on August 6, 2025.
“Returning to Hamilton is a deeply meaningful homecoming,” said Leslie Odom, Jr. “I’m so grateful for the chance to step back into the room—especially during this anniversary moment—and to revisit this brilliant piece that forever changed my life and the lives of so many.”

"When I saw Leslie perform 'The Room Where It Happens' at the first act two workshop of Hamilton, I knew I was witnessing a historic moment. How lucky we are that Leslie is returning to Hamilton and bringing his indelible Burr back to Broadway," said Hamilton’s lead producer Jeffrey Seller.
Last season, Odom made his Broadway return as a producer and star in the acclaimed revival of Purlie Victorious: A Non-Confederate Romp Through the Cotton Patch by Ossie Davis. The production earned six Tony Award nominations, including one for Odom’s performance, and aired as part of PBS’ “Great Performances.”
Odom’s career spans stage, screen, music, and literature.
