
(MAPLEWOOD, NJ) -- The Maplewood Strollers presents Much Ado About Nothing across two weekends from May 15-24, 2026. Wit flies, sparks ignite, and love is anything but simple in this classic by William Shakespeare.
Don’t miss the opportunity to see this beloved tale come to life — from the sharp-tongued battle of wits between Beatrice and Benedick to the tangled romances, mischievous plots, and laugh-out-loud antics that make this play a timeless favorite. The cast includes Beth Seales Hanson (Beatrice), Mathew Schwartz (Benedick), Dilara Kratter (Hero), James Fogerty (Claudio), Joseph Jones (Don Pedro), Mentha Marley (Leonato), Jeff Andrew (Don John), Carol Cornicelli (Margaret), Daniel Lee (Borachio), Alyssa Baines (Conrade), Patrick Horan (Dogberry), Allen Roberts (Antonio), Richard Dwyer (Verges), Kamirah Owens (Balthazar/Sexton), Robin Sindler (Ursula), Nova Rivers (Friar), Elliot Hemann (Seacoal), and Bianca Purkis (Watchman).
The production team includes Director Sharon Quinn, Producer Carol Cornicelli, Stage Manager Odarka Stockart, and Costumes Brianna Martinez & Niasia Pierre.
Performances take place Friday, May 15 at 8:00pm; Saturday, May 16 at 2:00pm & 8:00pm; Sunday, May 17 at 2:00pm; Friday, May 22 at 8:00pm; Saturday, May 23 at 2:00pm & 8:00pm; and Sunday, May 24 at 2:00pm. Tickets are available for purchase online. The theater is located at 10 Durand Road in Maplewood, New Jersey.
The Strollers are supported by The Maplewood Division of Arts and Culture, and are a 501(c) nonprofit organization. Established in 1932, The Strollers strive to provide an opportunity for artistic and dramatic education and enjoyment for its members and the community. Each year they produce a season consisting of two plays, one musical, as well as a children's theater production in midwinter.
The Strollers welcome anyone with an interest in the arts and a willingness to work toward a common goal, whether onstage or behind the scenes.
