(VERNON, NJ) -- Mountain Creek Resort in Vernon, NJ, the New York Metro Area's premier destination for four-season mountain adventure, will officially open for the 2024-2025 winter season on Saturday, December 7.  Thanks to a cooperative Mother Nature, this is one of the earliest starts to the winter season in years for the resort, which has also invested significantly in upgrading its snowmaking capabilities with a new, state-of-the-art, $5 million fully automated system. Lifts will begin running at 9:00am with the last chair at 9:00pm.

On Saturday, December 7, the resort will be open with top-to-bottom terrain at both Vernon and South Peaks serviced by the Cabriolet Gondola and the South Peak Express Quad. All skier services will be open including rentals, lessons and restaurants. Guests looking to save on Lift Tickets this season can purchase a Triple Play Card valid for 3 anytime use ticket for $139.99 or Season Pass starting at $339.99. Advance online reservations are required for all visits and can be made online.

“We are excited to welcome guests back to Mountain Creek for the 2024-2025 season,” said Evan Kovach, General Manager. “Winter arrived early this year and our team has been working around the clock to ensure the resort is ready to take advantage of it and get the season started for our guests.  It’s great to see this investment in snowmaking already paying dividends. This early opening should set us up for one of our best holiday weeks in a long time as we’ll be taking advantage of any weather opportunities we get to expand terrain.”

Conveniently located just one hour outside New York City, Mountain Creek Resort offers over 167 acres of winter trails across a variety of terrain, suitable for every ability level. With four mountain peaks, nine lifts and three dedicated terrain parks, Mountain Creek Resort delivers a true mountain experience both on and off the slopes. As the largest ski area in the region, Mountain Creek Resort is easily accessible for New York, New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania residents looking for a world-class resort experience.
