OCVTS Grunin Performing Arts Academy presents "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child"

(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- OCVTS Grunin Performing Arts Academy presents Harry Potter and the Cursed Child High School Edition, based on an original story by J. K. Rowling, John Tiffany, and Jack Thorne, by bringing the excitement of the wizarding world to our local community. Performances take place November 22-24, 2024 on the Grunin Center for the Arts Main Stage.

Join them for an enchanting experience as their talented high school students bring to life the eighth installment in the beloved Harry Potter series. This special edition, adapted for high school stages and performers, promises to captivate audiences with its mesmerizing characters and spellbinding story. Watch as our students are empowered to conjure the magic through their own creativity, making the show a truly exciting and engaging experience for students and audiences alike.

19 years after Harry, Ron, and Hermione saved the wizarding world, they’re back on a most extraordinary new adventure–this time, joined by a brave new generation that has only just arrived at the legendary Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. When Harry Potter’s head-strong son, Albus, befriends the son of his fiercest rival, Draco Malfoy, it sparks an unbelievable new journey for them all—with the power to change the past and future forever.

Get ready for an unforgettable journey into the wizarding world. Whether you are a longtime fan of the Harry Potter series or a newcomer to the franchise, this high school edition is sure to leave you cheering.

Performances take place Friday, November 22 at 7:00pm; Saturday, November 23 at 1:00pm & 7:00pm; and Sunday, November 24 at 1:00pm. Tickets are available for purchase online.  Grunin Center for the Arts is located on the campus of Ocean County College at 1 College Drive in Toms River, NJ 08754

(TEANECK, NJ) -- In association with The Estate of Edward Albee, Black Box presents a staged reading of Edward Albee's Three Tall Women (1991) on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Debonair Music Hall. The winner of the 1994 Pulitzer Prize, the play is about a compelling woman more than ninety years old who reflects on her life. The reading is scheduled for 7:30pm.

Bergen County Players to Host Special Post-Show Talkback with Tony Nominated Actress Beth Fowler

(ORADELL, NJ) -- Bergen County Players (BCP), one of America's longest-running little theater companies, will host a special post-show talkback with Tony nominated actress Beth Fowler, on Friday, May 16, 2025 at the Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell. The talkback will take place immediately following the 8:00pm performance of Stephen Sondheim's A Little Night Music, now on stage thru June 1. Beth will discuss her successful career from "BCP to Broadway."

Burlington County Footlighters presents "Fiddler on the Roof"

(CINNAMINSON, NJ) -- Burlington County Footlighters presents Fiddler on the Roof across three weekends from May 2-17, 2025. The classic musical is set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor milkman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia.

(HADDON HEIGHTS, NJ) -- The Village Playbox presents Man of La Mancha weekends from May 2-17, 2025. This is one of the world's most popular musicals. Inspired by Miguel de Cervantes' 17th-century masterwork Don Quixote, it is set during the Spanish Inquisition.
