Pro Arts presents "All Things Great and Small" Exhibition throughout October

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Pro Arts presents "All Things Great and Small" Exhibition, curated by PE Pinkman, weekends from October 4-27, 2024 at ART150 Gallery. This is an exciting juried exhibition inviting artists and creators from diverse backgrounds to explore and showcase the concept of scale in their work.

The exhibition celebrates the remarkable spectrum between the grand and the minimal, emphasizing that every element, whether monumental or minuscule, carries its own significance and impact. Its aim is to highlight the importance and beauty of both the large and the small, encouraging participants to reflect on how scale influences perception, meaning, and value. Through this exploration, we hope to foster a greater appreciation for the diversity and complexity of the world around us.

ART150 Gallery is located at 157A First Street in Jersey City, New Jersey. The exhibit is on view Saturdays and Sundays in October from 1:00pm-4:00pm. There will be an Opening Reception on Friday, October 4th from 5:00pm to 9:00pm during JCAST. The gallery is wheelchair accessible.

About the curator: Born and raised in New Jersey, PE Pinkman is a contemporary American artist and curator renowned for his conceptual paintings and drawings. His work engages with themes of identity and spatial constructs through references to individuals, current events, and natural environments.

With over 40 years of curatorial experience, Pinkman began his journey in the 1980s at the Tweed Gallery in New Jersey. He continued by curating exhibitions for Art Group NYC and has significantly impacted the Watchung Arts Center, where he has curated over 75 exhibits in a remarkable 25-year tenure. Focusing primarily on New Jersey artists, Pinkman aims to elevate their visibility in the competitive New York art scene. He recently curated notable solo exhibitions have featured acclaimed New Jersey artists such as Mona Brody, Anne Trauben, Andrea MeKenna and Edward Fausty. His latest group exhibition, “Archeology of Memory,” is currently on display at the Watchung Arts Center through the end of October.

Pinkman’s artwork has been showcased in esteemed galleries and art spaces, including La Mama La Galleria and Leslie Lohman Gallery in New York City, the Louvre in Paris, the State Museum in Trenton, and Saint Peter’s University and The Drawing Rooms in Jersey City, among others. His work has garnered attention from prominent publications, including the New York Times, Jersey City Times, and NJ.com.

The Gallery on Grant to Hold Opening Reception for "Enduring Spirit" on July 12th

(DEAL PARK, NJ) -- The Gallery on Grant will host an opening reception for its new art show, "Enduring Spirit," on Sunday, July 12, 2026 from 6:15pm-7:30pm in the gallery, which is located inside the Axelrod Performing Arts Center. "Enduring Spirit" showcases two artists: the paintings of Toby Bergman and the sculptures of Bunnye Levi. Bergman will also give a brief discussion of her art at the reception.

(TEANECK, NJ) -- The Puffin Cultural Forum presents Light Has Its Own Time, a major retrospective exhibition celebrating more than four decades of work by multidisciplinary artist Rachel Banai. On view from June 27 through July 31, 2026, the exhibition brings together photographs, Polaroid transfers, photo-weavings, collages, and mixed-media works from twelve thematic series created between 1985 and 2025.

ARTS 14C presents "The Fabric of a Nation"

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- ARTS 14C will open The Fabric of a Nation on Thursday, July 2nd, a textile and fiber exhibition mounted in recognition of the 250th anniversary of the United States. The show gathers fourteen artists who spent the spring grappling with the unfinished and often contradictory legacy of the American Revolution — and the 250 years that followed. It will remain on view through September 11, 2026.
