Noyes Museum to Offer Free Guided Exhibition Tour and Meet-And-Greet with Renowned Artist Gary Erbe

originally published: 12/28/2023

(HAMMONTON, NJ) -- The Noyes Museum at Stockton University's Kramer Hall invites you to a free guided tour through Gary Erbe's Magical World exhibition with the titular artist himself, Gary Erbe. Erbe is a celebrated contemporary artist known for his unique blend of realism and trompe l'oeil techniques. His work combines flat space forms that are exaggerated and enhanced by shadow, light, and color, resulting in pure three-dimensional illusion.

The guided tour and artist meet-and-greet will take place on January 5, 2024 at 11:00am. Attendees will have the unique opportunity of learning first-hand Erbe’s creative process and will gain insight into the inspiration behind his pieces. Free refreshments will also be served.

The Gary Erbe’s Magical World exhibition is on display until January 26, 2024, and is located at the Noyes Museum at Stockton University’s Kramer Hall (30 Front Street) in Hammonton, New Jersey. Normal operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm.

The Noyes Museum of Art of Stockton University offers several locations in Southern New Jersey, providing access and support to the arts and artists of the region and beyond. A source of inspiration and enjoyment for enthusiasts of the arts, from residents of the community, students and faculty of the university, to visitors to the shore and Pine Barrens, the Noyes Museum serves the entire South Jersey area. In 2010, the Noyes partnership with Stockton University began as a natural extension of Stockton’s commitment to the area’s cultural scene. The Noyes Museum formally became a part of Stockton University in 2016. Home to one of the area’s top performing arts centers, Stockton has its own art gallery, a growing visual arts program, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree is among the many courses of study. Through Communications Studies, Historical Studies, Language and Culture Studies, Literature and Philosophy, Stockton is serving the arts and humanities in southern New Jersey.

Today, The Noyes Museum maintains its founders’ dedication to preserving, highlighting, interpreting, and celebrating the arts through its dynamic locations across southern New Jersey.
