Broadway Theatre of Pitman presents "A Christmas Carol, the Musical"
 

(PITMAN, NJ) -- The Broadway Theatre of Pitman presents A Christmas Carol, the Musical weekends from December 8-December 17, 2023. In this holiday classic, Ebenezer Scrooge is a prosperous curmudgeon who believes that personal wealth is far more valuable than the happiness and comfort of others.

 



Playhouse 22 presents "A Christmas Carol"
 

(EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- Playhouse 22's annual production of A Christmas Carol returns to the Playhouse 22 stage weekends from December 8-17, 2023. Directed by Ken Paris and adapted by Tony Adase, this production is based on the Charles Dickens' piece by the same name.  It is the famous tale of a miserable miser who learns to keep Christmas in his heart with the help of several ghostly visitations.

 



Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey presents Staged Reading of "The Snow Queen"
 

(MADISON, NJ) -- The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) presents an elaborately staged reading of The Snow Queen by Hans Christian Andersen on Saturday, December 16, 2023 as part of their new series for young audiences titled Classics for Kids! Directed and adapted by Brian B. Crowe, this scripts-in-hand presentation features a cast of many of STNJ's long-time company members and patron favorites. Showtime is 11:00am.

 



OCC Repertory Theatre Presents "Broadway for the Holidays 3" at Grunin Center
 

(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- Back by popular demand! Celebrate the holidays Broadway-style when the OCC Repertory Theatre Company presents Broadway for the Holidays 3 at the Grunin Center for the Arts from December 8-17, 2023. Tickets are $17 for adults and $14 for seniors.

RVCC Chorale to Perform Annual Holiday Concert on Sunday
 

(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- The RVCC Chorale will present its annual holiday concert on Sunday, December 10, 2023 in the Welpe Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College’s Branchburg campus. The program will feature the Deutsche Messe, D. 872, by Franz Schubert, as well as music by Hans Leo Hassler, Mateo Flecha, and Leroy Anderson. The concert will include an audience singalong of traditional carols. Showtime is 3:00pm.

 



CRUZ releases "Get Away"
 

Hailing from Sheffield, South Yorkshire, CRUZ are a four-piece Indie band that take their cues both from the rich musical heritage of their hometown and from across the annals of indie rock. The result is a multifaceted band keen to showcase their idiosyncratic sound, and expand the horizons of the indie scene.

 



The Bank Street Martyrs releases "I Love You Molly Mandy"
 

The Bank Street Martyrs are a rock band who have been inspired by the people and the place to bring you the rhythm and blue collar sound of urban Scotland. "I Love You Molly Mandy" is the second single from the band's forthcoming second album, Dormitory Town.

 



Black Bouquet releases "Run and Hide"
 

Black Bouquet are a Raleigh, NC-based band that are readying the release of their debut album, Pray to the Knife. A six-piece band whose sound incorporates a number of genres, Black Bouquet has a base of My Chemical Romance or Killers-era emo with healthy doses of 80s guitar rock, new wave and goth/post punk, making them attractive to many types of music fans.

 



New Jersey Symphony Blends East and West to Celebrate Lunar New Year
 

(NEWARK, NJ) -- The New Jersey Symphony will present a special performance celebrating the Lunar New Year and ringing in the Year of the Dragon, featuring conductor Yue Bao and pianist Tony Siqi Yun, at New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 7:30pm.

DanceWorks at RVCC to Feature Student and Faculty Performances
 

(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- Raritan Valley Community College's (RVCC) Arts & Design department will present DanceWorks, an evening of student and faculty dance, on Thursday and Friday, December 7 and 8, at 7:00pm. The event will be held in the Edward Nash Theatre at the College’s Branchburg campus.

Ocean County Library Little Egg Harbor Branch presents Kaylee McGrath's "Landscapes & Nature"
 

(LITTLE EGG HARBOR, NJ) -- The Ocean County Library Little Egg Harbor Branch will present "Landscapes & Nature," an exhibit by Ocean County photographer Kaylee McGrath, plus a display of her images of Ireland, throughout the month of January 2024. The exhibit will occupy the Branch meeting room. Kaylee's photos of rustic Ireland will be housed in glass display cases in the main portion of the Branch.

Somerset County Park Commission Hosts 45th "Festival of Trees" for Families
 

(BASKING RIDGE, NJ) -- The 45th "Festival of Trees" runs until December 28th and is open each day from 9:00am to 4:30pm (it is closed for the holiday weekend on December 22, 24 and 25). The Somerset County Park Commission will be hosting the display at the Environmental Education Center (EEC) at 190 Lord Stirling Road, Basking Ridge, NJ.
