The sisters in Irving Berlin's song by that name, "Sisters," explained their relationship as follows: "Two different faces, but in tight places / we think and we act as one." The subjects of Emily Mann's play Having Our Say at the George Street Playhouse through December 17, fit that description—to a point.

 



Pushcart Players to present "Holiday Tales - A Season of Miracles" in Secaucus
 

(SECAUCUS, NJ) -- Pushcart Players, New Jersey's Emmy-nominated and award-winning touring theater for young audiences presents "Holiday Tales - A Season of Miracles" at the Arthur F. Couch Performing Arts Center in Secaucus, NJ on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 1:00pm. This show is a sparkling collection of holiday stories from different cultures.

 



Disney's "The Little Mermaid" Enters Final Week at Centenary Stage Company
 

(HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- This holiday season, Centenary Stage Company presents Disney's The Little Mermaid. The production is entering its final week of performances, but performances will continue to run until December 10 in the Sitnik Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center of the Centenary University campus at 715 Grand Avenue, Hackettstown, NJ. Follow the journey of Ariel, a young mermaid with an unquenchable thirst for exploration and her quest to find true love, and where she truly belongs; in the sea she's always known or the mysterious land of the world above.

The Wellmont Theatre presents Tab Benoit and The Dirty Dozen Brass Band
 

(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Acclaimed Louisiana Bayou blues guitarist Tab Benoit continues his year-long 2023 Tour, performing locally at The Wellmont Theater on Saturday, December 9 at 8:00pm. Dirty Dozen Brass Band will open the night. Benoit is a Grammy nominated singer, songwriter and guitarist who has built a remarkable 30+ year career on the foundation of his gritty and soulful Delta swamp blues, acquiring a devoted legion of fans along the way.

(NEW YORK, NY) -- Darlene Love fans shared a special moment with the singer during her "Love for the Holidays" concert at New York's Town Hall on Thursday, November 30, 2023 when Bruce Springsteen came on stage to present Darlene with an RIAA platinum album plaque for A Christmas Gift for You from Phil Spector, the groundbreaking multi-artist wall-of-sound holiday collection that introduced Darlene's "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" to the world in 1963.

 



Light of Day Winterfest 2024 Schedule and Lineups

​​​​​​​In a career spanning over 30 years, Philadelphia-born Richie "LaBamba" Rosenberg has brought his trombone, voice, and personality to the world of music and television. He's toured and recorded with Bruce Springsteen, Southside Johnny, Little Steven, Jon Bon Jovi, Diana Ross, Dave Edmonds, Ricky Martin, John Mayall, Darlene Love, Jessica Simpson, and Joe Cocker, to name a few. LaBamba enjoyed 25 years on late night television with Conan O' Brien, playing trombone as a member of the Max Weinberg 7 and Jimmy Vivino & the Basic Cable Band. With Conan, he also was featured in a myriad of comedy sketches, such as "In the Year 2000," developing a respectable cult following in the process.

State Theatre presents "The Nutcracker" with the American Repertory Ballet, live orchestra and choir
 

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents The Nutcracker with American Repertory Ballet for five performances on Friday, December 15 at 7:30pm; Saturday, December 16 at 2:00pm & 7:00pm; and Sunday, December 17 at 1:00pm & 5:00pm.
