First Avenue Playhouse presents "A Christmas Chaos"

originally published: 11/27/2023

(ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ) -- First Avenue Playhouse presents A Christmas Chaos by Michael Wehrli in December. When the Royal Shakespeare Company doesn’t show up to perform their  stirring rendition of a Christmas Carol it’s up to this intrepid band of hapless actors and technicians to put together their own production in less than seven hours.

Have you ever experienced backstage mayhem? Well you haven’t seen anything yet! This extremely fast paced physical comedy will prove that sometimes everything that can go wrong Will go wrong!.

The production, directed by Jess Weygant, opens on December 1st with performances on Fridays at 7:30pm (1st, 8th, 15th & 22nd); Saturdays at 7:30pm (2nd, 9th, 16th & 23rd); and Sundays (10th and 17th) at 2:30pm.

General admission seating is $25; students/seniors $20 (Fridays and Sundays only). Reservations are required and can be made by calling the Playhouse at 732-291-7552. General admission includes the show, dessert, coffee and tea with ice water and soft drinks offered at intermission.

The First Avenue Playhouse, 123 First Ave. Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey is one of the oldest continuously running community theatres in Monmouth County. Located in downtown Atlantic Highlands, The First Avenue Playhouse is a dessert theatre that is preparing to celebrate it's 30th anniversary of providing a variety of live theatre choices such as comedies or musicals as well as original productions by local playwrights.
