
(HAMMONTON, NJ) -- The Profession is a 3 person cast, absurdist tragic comedy being produced by the Atlantic City Theatre Company at The Eagle Theatre, as part of the Jersey Fringe Festival. Show times are exclusive to Saturday, August 19th (12:00pm, 3:10pm, 6:10pm) and Sunday, August 20th (12:00pm, 3:10pm).
The show follows Eugene, a naïve young man training to become an agent of The Profession. It has always been Eugene’s dream to become an agent of The Profession, or so he’s been told. When things no longer add up Eugene begins questioning his instructions. Soon, his reality begins to unravel. As Eugene ventures deeper into the unknown, hidden truths are revealed, illusions shatter, and the nefarious inner workings of The Profession are exposed.
The play stars Jeremy Rotolo as Eugene, Jimmy Collins as Schaffer, and Melissa Rittmann as Rosetta.
Jersey Fringe Festival wristbands are available for purchase online. The 3-day outdoor marathon event features live theater performance, music, art vendors, food, craft brews and wine, plus outdoor yoga for the whole family. The event runs August 18th-20th and celebrates creativity and artistic expression, bringing together talented artists and performers from the region to showcase their work in multiple hand-picked venues throughout Downtown Hammonton.
As the first fringe festival in the state of New Jersey, the Jersey Fringe Festival provides a unique platform for artists of all backgrounds to share their stories and connect with audiences. Performances run anywhere from 20-90 minutes, in both intimate and more expansive performance spaces including Hammonton Town Hall, Paul Morris DanceXplosion, Allies in Caring, Hammonton’s Family Success Center, St. Joe’s Academy, Forged Soul Fitness & Yoga Studio, and Eagle Theatre.
