Wednesday, August 16, 2023 - Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band to Play Shows in Philly and NJ. (EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ) -- Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band have announced additional North American dates on their 2023 international tour in 18 cities, with newly-added shows beginning at Chicago's Wrigley Field on August 9 and running through December 8 at San Francisco's Chase Center. Multiple nights have been scheduled for Philadelphia's Citizens Bank Park (August 16 and 18), New Jersey's MetLife Stadium (August 30 and September 1), Toronto's Scotiabank Arena (November 14 and 16) and Los Angeles' Kia Forum (December 4 and 6).

Wednesday, August 16, 2023 - Lizzie Rose Music Room presents Tinsley Ellis. (TUCKERTON, NJ) -- Acclaimed Georgia blues rocker, singer and songwriter Tinsley Ellis will give a rare live acoustic performance at The Lizzie Rose Music Room in Tuckerton on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 7:30pm. On his newly launched coast-to-coast tour entitled Tinsley Ellis - Acoustic Songs & Stories, Ellis plans to perform many of his most popular songs, plus Delta blues covers and classics by artists like Gregg Allman, Bob Dylan and Leo Kottke, on his 1937 National Steel and 1969 Martin D-35 guitars. Ellis weaves the music together with interesting, engaging and humorous stories from his over 40 years spent on stage, in motels and truck stops. Ellis' most recent Alligator Records release and 20th album is 2022's Devil May Care.

Thursday, August 17, 2023 - Slightly Stoopid and Sublime With Rome tour comes to Holmdel and Camden. San Diego, CA-based Slightly Stoopid and Sublime With Rome announced the first round of dates for their Summertime 2023 tour. Produced by Live Nation, the tour will hit outdoor amphitheaters and select festivals across the country. Joining Slightly Stoopid and Sublime With Rome are special guests Atmosphere and The Movement. Locally, the tour comes to the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel on Thursday, August 17th and the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden on Sunday, August 20th.

(TUCKERTON, NJ) -- The Lizzie Rose Music Room presents The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 7:30pm. The band has built its reputation the long, slow, hard way. After 12 years of playing as many as 300 shows each year, Rev. Peyton, the world's foremost country blues finger-style picker, along with the biggest little band in the country has pieced together one of the most dedicated followings out there.

Friday, August 18, 2023 - Professor Louie & The Crowmatix with The Woodstock Horns present "The Music Of The Band" in Tuckerton. (TUCKERTON, NJ) -- On Friday, August 18, 2023, Professor Louie & The Crowmatix with The Woodstock Horns will present "The Music of The Band" at the Lizzie Rose Music Room. For this special show, they will perform songs from repertoire of The Band, learned directly from The Band and songs Louie created with The Band including their comeback hit "Atlantic City," he collaborated with The Band for over fifteen years. Matt is best known for guest roles on the sketch comedy and improv game show series Wild 'n Out, as Brandon Bliss on the comedy television series Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and as Logan on the sitcom television series Fresh Off the Boat. Saturday, August 19, 2023 - Violinist to Bring "The Judy Kang Experience" to NY and NJ this summer. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- Canadian-born violinist and worldwide phenom Judy Kang will be playing with 'The Judy Kang Experience' at festivals and shows across New York and New Jersey this summer, including a performance in Princeton on Saturday, August 19, 2023. Sunday, August 20, 2023 - Black Flag Brings US Tour to Sherman Theater. (STROUDSBURG, PA) -- One of the most ground-breaking and iconic hardcore punk bands of all time, Black Flag, have announced that they'll be hitting the road for their My War Tour 2023, stopping at the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg, PA on Sunday, August 20, 2023. They will perform the My War album in full for their first set and The Best Of in the second set. Doors are at 6:00pm, showtime is 7:00pm.

Sunday, August 20, 2023 - Newark to Hold Annual Latin Festival on Sunday. (NEWARK, NJ) -- Newark Mayor Ras J. Baraka, Deputy Mayor for Community Engagement Jacqueline Quiles, and the Office of Violence Prevention and Trauma Recovery (OVPTR) will host the Annual Latin Festival on Sunday, August 20, from noon to 10:00pm, on Bloomfield Avenue between Lake Street and Clifton Avenue, in Newark's North Ward. This year's event is being presented as an opportunity for citywide anti-violence organizations to raise awareness for domestic violence prevention, with speakers sharing personal stories of transformation from the stage.

The Garden State Wine Growers Association (GSWGA) has announced the cancellation of Sips, Stars & Stripes: A NJ Wine Revolution, originally scheduled for May 30, 2026. The decision comes in response to the unprecedented freeze events that impacted vineyards across New Jersey during April 2026. According to vineyard managers and growers throughout the state, prolonged overnight temperatures below freezing caused extensive and widespread damage to grapevines in nearly every wine-producing region of New Jersey.
