(WEST HUDSON, NJ) --  The West Hudson Arts & Theater Co (WHATCo) has announced the cast for The Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic by Matt Cox. This will be WHATCo’s first Main Stage production of 2023, running across two weekends (October 20-22 and October 26-28, 2023) at The Theater at WHATCo (15 Frank E. Rodgers Blvd. South) in Harrison, NJ.

Puffs is a tale for anyone who has never been destined to save the world. For seven years a certain boy wizard went to a certain Wizard School and conquered evil. This, however, is not his story. This is the story of the Puffs ... who just happened to be there too. This fast-paced, clever play looks at a familiar adventure from a new perspective - of three potential heroes just trying to survive a rather dangerous school alongside a group of well-meaning, loyal outsiders with a thing for badgers. This hilariously heartfelt tale asks what it means to be a “side character” in an epic adventure.

The cast (in alphabetical order) includes Nelson DePasquale (Uncle Dave/Goyle /A Certain Potions Teacher/Mr. Nick/Hermeoone #3/Ric Gryff/Viktor/Mr. Bagman/ Zach Smith); Richard Dwyer (A Very Tall Man/Sorting Hat/Real Mr. Moody/Ghost History Teach / Professor Turban/SS Security/Death Buddy/Voiceover); Samantha Egge (Ginny/Frenchy/Rowena/Professor Sprouty/Anthony Goldstein/Professor Lanny/Hermeoone #2/Scorpy/Death Buddy); Tim Firth (Mr. Voldy/First Headmaster/Sal); Brooke Gorsica (Harry/Helga); Lillian Hope (Leanne/Runes Teach); John Jesse Jeffords (Narrator); Jessica Jones (Susie Bones/Colin/Myrtle/Hermeoone #1); Joseph Jones (Oliver Rivers); Chloe Kiefer (Megan Jones); Maggie Madere (Hannah/Professor McG/SS Security); Nick Maes (J. Finch Fletchley/Clumsy Longbottom/ Fat Friar/2nd Headmaster/Seamus Finnegan); Dylan Myers (Wayne Hopkins); Maria Ruppert (Sally Perks/Bippy/ Rita Scooter); Prat Shekhar (Ernie Mac/SS Security); Deke Stoklosa (Cedric/Blondo Malfoy/Professor Locky/ DJ/Death Buddy); Roberta Stone (Xavia Jones/Ms. Babble/SS Security.)

The production is directed by Allyssa Hynes; Stage Managers are Ed Shea and John Westling.

WHATCo dives into this exciting world of Braves, Smarts, Snakes and the Puffs with performances October 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28 at 7:30pm and October 22 at 2:00pm. Visit www.whatconj.org for tickets and additional information.
