Middletown Arts Center presents MAC Music Café on Sunday

(MIDDLETOWN, NJ) -- The Middletown Arts Center presents the monthly MAC Music Café on Sunday, June 25 from 4:00pm-6:00pm. June’s showcase features singer-songwriters Shotgun Bill Anania, James Netterwald, Carl Alderson and Frank Branda. The concert series will be in hiatus until September, so don’t miss this last Summer show! $5 suggested donation.

SHOTGUN BILL is…Bill Anania. Anania, a self-proclaimed “late bloomer, singer-songwriter”, has produced several collaborative and solo projects. He began working with Frank Patrouch in 2012, forming “Frank and Bill” and releasing three CD projects: Frank Patrouch “Whiskey and Revenge”, Frank & Bill “One Good Line” and “Unplugged and Uncouth”. 

In 2016, Anania released his first solo CD, “The B-Sides”, and in the summer of 2017,released “Train Cars, Prison Bars …and a White Guitar”, working with his friend Scott “Tango Kid” Yetka. His next album, “Shotgun Bill with the Tango Kid – Lonesome Cowboys”, was released in April 2019. His “Quarantined” EP was released during the Pandemic (2020) and the summer of 2021 saw the release of his fifth project, “Shotgun Bill with the Tango Kid – Lack of Luxury”. 

Anania performs throughout Monmouth county and has music available on Spotify, Itunes, Amazon, Band Camp and CD Baby!

JAMES NETTERWALD is an independent artist and songwriter from Hazlet, NJ. During his thirty years of songwriting, James has evolved significantly as an artist and has a back catalog of over 200 songs. His songwriting style is personal and narrative and is based on events in his personal life, including past and present relationships, his struggles with Bipolar Disorder, as well as his myriad hobbies and interests. 

James writes for the Indie Rock and Folk genres. He has a vast number of musical influences. James’ music is now streaming on all music streaming platforms and social media platforms. James not only writes his songs but, also, records and produces them in his home recording studio. James is the consummate Indie artist in that all of his music releases are self-financed. James also promotes his music independently.

The Middletown Arts Center is located at 36 Church Street, Middletown, NJ (next to the Middletown train station). Free parking is available onsite with additional free parking available in the station-metered lot on weekday evenings after 6:00pm and on weekends.
