(MILLBURN, NJ) -- Paper Mill Playhouse is presenting Rent by Jonathan Larson, now through July 2, 2023. The production is directed by Zi Alikhan and choreographed by Steph Paul. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Rent has become a pop-cultural phenomenon with songs that rock and a story that resonates with audiences of all ages.

The Lizzie Rose Music Room presents Lil' Ed & The Blues Imperials
 

(TUCKERTON, NJ) -- Electrifying Chicago blues masters Lil’ Ed & The Blues Imperials - recently named by the Chicago Reader as the city's 2022 Blues Band Of the Year - will perform live at The Lizzie Rose Music Room in Tuckerton on Thursday, July 20, 2023. Tickets are $35 advance and $40 at the door. Showtime is 7:30pm.

The Newton Theatre presents Roger McGuinn on October 4th
 

​​​​​​​(NEWTON, NJ) -- The Newton Theatre presents Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Roger McGuinn on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 8:00pm. Jim McGuinn, later known as Roger, was already a veteran of the New York and Los Angeles music scenes when he co-founded the group that would become the Byrds with Gene Clark and David Crosby in 1964. Prior to forming the Byrds, Roger toured and performed with the Limeliters, Chad Mitchell Trio and Bobby Darin as a guitarist and banjo player. He was also the musical director on Judy Collins #3.

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- On Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 7:00pm, the Princeton Festival presents the two-time Grammy Award-Winning Attacca Quartet paired with dancers from the American Repertory Ballet for an Evening of Contemporary Ballet. On the program are ballet excerpts from Circadia, choreographed by Caili Quan to the music of Gabriella Smith’s Carrot Revolution, and Wood Work, choreographed by Ethan Stiefel to Nordic folk tunes arranged by the Danish String Quartet.

Red Bank Celebrates Juneteenth with Keynote speaker Larry Hamm, P.O.P. Social Justice Activist
 

(RED BANK, NJ) -- Now that it is a Federal Holiday, Juneteenth celebrations will be happening across the nation. In Red Bank, the festivities will take place on Sunday June 18, at Johnny Jazz Park, on the corners of Shrewsbury Ave., and Dr. James Parker Blvd., at 1:00pm. The Greater Red Bank community is invited to gather at Pilgrim Baptist Church at 12 Noon, where a procession, led by Rev. Terrence Porter will start at 12:15pm, toward the park.

Ramapo College of New Jersey Publishes Second Memoir Authored by New Jersey High School Students
 

(MAHWAH, NJ) -- Ramapo College of New Jersey, in collaboration with Newark Public School District’s Science Park High School teacher Shawn Adler, published the book The Helpers. The memoir features stories from high school students across New Jersey who share their experiences of struggle, doubt, crisis, and talk about those who helped them persevere and triumph when faced with adversity. "The published collection showcases 61 of the best stories, which highlight the extraordinary power of our most vulnerable," said Adler. This is the second collaboration between Shawn Adler and Ramapo College.
