Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey Welcomes New Artistic Director It was the summer of 1996 and young Brian Crowe was being interviewed for a job as an intern by Bonnie Monte, the artistic director of the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey at Drew University, in Madison. The phone kept ringing, actors were running in and out of her office, there was a stack of papers to read, bills to pay and letters from audience members to answer. It was bedlam.

Events at MPAC in July 2023 (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) presents a terrific lineup of events this July at the theatre as well as throughout Morristown. MPAC's summer concert series kicks off on July 11 with The Doobie Brothers. Story of the Year to Perform at Stone Pony Summer Stage in Support of Yellowcard (ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Story Of The Year will be hitting the road this summer to support Yellowcard and the 20th anniversary of Ocean Avenue. The tour comes to the Stone Pony Summer Stage on Thursday, July 6, 2023. This Wild Life is also on the bill. Showtime is 5:00pm.
State Theatre New Jersey presents The Fab Faux (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents The Fab Faux on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 8:00pm. Performing an evening of The Beatles greatest hits, The Fab Faux will be joined on stage by The Hogshead Horns (with Blues Brothers, Blood, Sweat & Tears and Saturday Night Live band alums) and The Creme Tangerine Strings. Tickets range from $49-$99.
The Newton Theatre presents John Hiatt (NEWTON, NJ) -- The Newton Theatre presents John Hiatt on Saturday, September 30, 2023. A master lyricist and satirical storyteller, Hiatt delivers songs filled with tales of redemption, relationships and surrendering on his own terms. Doors are at 7:00pm, showtime is 8:00pm.

Virgina Yearick’s narrative-documentary feature Possum Kingdom has its World Premiere at the 2023 New Jersey International Film Festival! Virgina Yearick’s narrative-documentary feature, Possum Kingdom, will be playing online for 24 hours at the 2023 New Jersey International Film Festival on June 4th. On a dilapidated South Carolina family farm, Yearick shows the simultaneous boredom and comfort of three generations of men who live there. The film features a documentary and fiction genre blend, which emphasizes their lives as that of a dream and of steady decay. Possum Kingdom stars both first-time actors, non-actors, and people playing alternate versions of themselves.

Gallery Jupiter presents "The Flower Show" (LITTLE SILVER, NJ) -- Just to prove that flowers are a few of her favorite things, Judith Trammell has gathered a few of her favorite artists for "The Flower Show," an exhibit opening Thursday, June 8th and running through July 14th, in her Little Silver gallery - Gallery Jupiter. "I'm thrilled to be presenting such a joyful exhibit while everything is in bloom. The opening starts at 6:00pm and everyone is invited," says Judith, also one of the exhibiting artists.
