Wednesday, May 31, 2023 - Barry Manilow to Perform 5 Shows at Radio City Music Hall. (NEW YORK, NY) -- Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. (MSG Entertainment) and The Bowery Presents announced that Barry Manilow will perform five consecutive nights at Radio City Music Hall on Wednesday, May 31; Thursday, June 1; Friday, June 2; Saturday, June 3 and Sunday, June 4, at 8:00pm each night. These shows will mark Barry Manilow's 35th - 39th lifetime performances at Radio City Music Hall, and his first time returning to the legendary venue since 2012.

Wednesday, May 31, 2023 - The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey presents "The Rose Tattoo" by Tennessee Williams. (MADISON, NJ) -- The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey’s (STNJ) 61st season will begin on May 31st with The Rose Tattoo by Tennessee Williams. This exuberant, extravagant tale of Serafina Delle Rose, a Sicilian widow living on the turbulent Gulf Coast outside of New Orleans, is an astonishing and poetic ode to this irresistible force of sensuality and the power of longing, hope, and desire. Replete with a Greek chorus-like cast of colorful characters, the play is a boisterous and beautiful celebration of life and love. The production runs through June 18, 2023.

Wednesday, May 31, 2023 - Anu Vaidyanathan's "BC: AD (Before Children: After Diapers)" comes to The Stress Factory on May 31st. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- Former triathlete and engineer turned comedian and mother Anu Vaidyanathan is bringing her Edinburgh Fringe cult hit one-woman show BC: AD (Before Children: After Diapers) to The Stress Factory on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 7:30pm. This is a stand-up comedy show and one mad, brown mommy's take on how the definitions of words change before and during motherhood

Thursday, June 1, 2023 - The Sieminski Theater presents Swinging with the Rat Pack. (BASKING RIDGE, NJ) -- Swinging with the Rat Pack is a fun-filled musical celebration that re-creates the magic of The Rat Pack - Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin & Sammy Davis Jr. They will perform at the Sieminski Theater on June 1, 2023 at 7:30pm. This show is as close as you can get to hanging out in the front row of the Copa!

Thursday, June 1, 2023 - New Jersey Symphony to Perform Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto. (NEWARK, NJ) -- Acclaimed violin virtuoso Randall Goosby is set to solo in the New Jersey Symphony's upcoming performance of Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto, June 1—4, led by Music Director Xian Zhang. The program also features the world premiere of Chen Yi's Landscape Impression and Stravinsky's Suite from Pulcinella.

Thursday, June 1, 2023 - Jersey City Jazz Festival to Take Place June 1-4. (JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- The Jersey City Jazz Festival is back and better than ever for its 10th anniversary celebration from June 1-4, 2023. The festival will kick off with JC Jazz Nights on Thursday (6/1) and Friday (6/2) at various venues throughout the city. It will culminate in a two-day free outdoor festival on Saturday (6/3) and Sunday (6/4) at the newly renovated Exchange Place Plaza, presented by Exchange Place Alliance and produced by Riverview Jazz. The festival will also partner with the Bike JC Ward Tour on Sunday, June 5, and serve as its finish line along the Hudson Waterfront.

Thursday, June 1, 2023 - Surflight Theatre presents "Steel Pier". (BEACH HAVEN, NJ) -- Surflight Theatre is excited to be opening their 2023 Season with a show celebrating the magnificent history of Atlantic City's Steel Pier in the 1930's: Kander and Ebb's Steel Pier the Musical. An assortment of depression era souls are eager to dance their way into fame & prizes gather on the Steel Pier. Songs by the creators of Chicago, Cabaret and other classics perfectly capture the rhythms of the 1930's dance era. Performances run June 1-17, 2023.

Thursday, June 1, 2023 - Ocean County Library presents "New Jersey Piece of Paradise P.O.P. Art Show" by André Russell. (TOMS RIVER) -- The Ocean County Library Toms River Branch is pleased to present the "New Jersey Piece of Paradise P.O.P. Art Show" by Jersey Shore-based artist André Russell throughout the month of June. The exhibit in the Branch's Second Floor Gallery consists of fine art pieces, created by reconstructing original photographs through the half-tone print technique.

Thursday, June 1, 2023 - Ocean County Library Jackson Branch presents Steve Moran Art Exhibit in June and July. (JACKSON TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- The Ocean County Library Jackson Branch is pleased to present an exhibit of airbrushings and paintings by Toms River artist Steve Moran throughout the months of June and July. Steve's extensive portfolio of oil and acrylic paintings includes images of people, wildlife and marine life, florals, still life, and landscapes. In addition to canvas, his work has appeared on cars, motorcycles, and clothing, and for clients including Michael Jackson, Michael Bolton and members of America's Top Model.

Friday, June 2, 2023 - McCarter presents 2023 JAZZ IN JUNE. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- McCarter Theatre has announced the 2023 JAZZ IN JUNE line up – six premiere events over three weekends, starting with the 2023 Grammy Award Winner for Best New Artist, Samara Joy on Friday, June 2. Jazz in June 2023 is sponsored by WRTI. The full roster includes legends Chucho Valdés and Paquito D'Rivera, on Friday, June 9, nineteen-year-old piano virtuoso Joey Alexander on Saturday, June 10, Blue Note tenor saxophonist Melissa Aldana on Friday, June 16, and ending the three-weekend celebration when visionary composer Maria Schneider brings her 18-member ensemble to perform the most daring work of her career on Saturday, June 17. Concerts begin at 8:00pm.

Friday, June 2, 2023 - Remember Jones to Revive Bat Out of Hell Live for North to Shore Festival. Experience wild theatricality and larger-than-life emotion as Remember Jones presents Bat Out of Hell Live - a revival of Meat Loaf's Bat Out of Hell album in its entirety and more with a 15-piece band as part of the North to Shore Festival. The show comes to Count Basie Center's Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre on June 2nd, and to Resorts Superstar Theater in Atlantic City on June 10th.

Friday, June 2, 2023 - 2023 New Jersey International Film Festival to Take Place in June. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The Rutgers Film Co-op/New Jersey Media Arts Center, in association with the Rutgers University Program in Cinema Studies, will present the 2023 New Jersey International Film Festival which marks their 28th Anniversary. The Festival will be taking place on the Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between June 2-11, 2023. The Festival will be a hybrid one as they will be presenting it online as well as doing in-person screenings at Rutgers University.

Friday, June 2, 2023 - The Mississippi Delta Meets the Jersey Shore. (WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- The Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music at Monmouth University and the Jersey Shore Jazz & Blues Foundation (JSJBF) will premiere The Mississippi Delta Meets the Jersey Shore on Friday, June 2, 2023 at the Lauren K. Woods Theatre on the Monmouth University campus. The event begins at 8:00pm.

Friday, June 2, 2023 - Dunbar Repertory Company to produce August Wilson's "Jitney" at Middletown Arts Center. (MIDDLETOWN, NJ) -- The Middletown Arts Center is pleased to present August Wilson's Jitney, produced by the Dunbar Repertory Company and directed by Darrell Lawrence Willis, Sr., over two weekends, June 2-4 and 9-11. Set in the early 1970s, this richly textured play follows a group of men trying to eke out a living by driving unlicensed cabs, or jitneys, in the black neighborhood of Pittsburgh's Hill District. Jitney is the seventh in the Pulitzer-prize-winning playwright's ten-play cycle (collectively called The American Century Cycle or The Pittsburgh Cycle) on the black experience in twentieth-century America.

Friday, June 2, 2023 - South Camden Theatre Company and The Stride Collective present "Stop Kiss". (CAMDEN, NJ) -- South Camden Theatre Company and The Strides Collective are excited to welcome you to their celebration of equality and love for Pride with the production of Diana Son’s poignant and funny play Stop Kiss. This production is being directed by Jonathan Edmondson, the founding artistic director of The Strides Collective. Performances run weekends from June 2-17. In this comic and dark play, two young women, third-grade teacher Sara, and radio traffic reporter Callie become best friends about to discover something new about their relationships.

Friday, June 2, 2023 - NJ Students and Educators to be Honored at the 2023 Governor's Awards in Arts Education. (EWING, NJ) -- Over 100 students and arts educators will receive the state's most prestigious award in the arts education, at the 43rd Annual New Jersey Governor's Awards in Arts Education celebration during Arts Ed NJ Day on June 2 at the College of New Jersey. This event, which begins at 5:00pm, will honor those who have demonstrated excellence in and dedication to arts education.

Friday, June 2, 2023 - The Lord Stirling Theater Company to perform "Blithe Spirit" in Basking Ridge. (BASKING RIDGE, NJ) -- The Lord Stirling Theater Company will perform the comedy classic "Blithe Spirit" by Noël Coward in the English Barn Theater at the Farmstead Arts Center in Basking Ridge. Performances run across two weekends (June 2-4 and June 9-11). In the play, novelist Charles Condomine is conducting research for his latest novel about a medium. As research, he and his wife Ruth invite local medium Madame Arcati to dinner, along with their friends the Bradmans. Charles is hoping to find a fraud. But perhaps Madame Arcati actually conjures up more than he expected.​

Friday, June 2, 2023 - NYC Music Marathon & Smodcastle Cinemas presents Musical Comedy Bard Series Featuring Jack Dallas. (ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ) -- The NYC Musical Marathon is bringing its Musical Comedy Bard Series to Smodcastle Cinemas, Friday, June 2 at 7:30pm. Jack Dallas will perform Jen – X a 95 minute musical comedy farce. Audience participation with local help from theater nerds is anticipated. Laughs allowed with compelling music. A genuine villain poses problems.

Friday, June 2, 2023 - ACCESS JC Fridays on June 2nd features Open Studios, Live Music, Outdoor Events, and More. (JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Art House Productions has announced the lineup for their upcoming ACCESS JC Fridays on Friday, June 2, 2023. Jersey City's premiere quarterly arts festival will showcase a variety of happenings free to the public including visual art exhibitions, music performances, studio tours, and more hosted at local businesses, galleries, and arts organizations. Visitors are encouraged to travel place to place to discover art and to support the local arts scene.

Friday, June 2, 2023 - Pro Arts Jersey City presents "Our Art Show". (JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Pro Arts Jersey City presents a new exhibit, Our Art Show, which showcases the artwork of students from St. Joseph's School for the Blind, and the residents of St. Joseph's and St. Ann's Adult Medical Day Programs to the ART150 Gallery. Our Art Show was curated by Athena Toledo and will be on view Saturdays in June from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

Friday, June 2, 2023 - The Art House Gallery presents "Comfort Zones" an ACCESS JC Fridays Exhibit. (JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Art House Productions presents "Comfort Zones" - a group exhibition of work from artists with disabilities. The work will be exhibited in the Art House Gallery from June 2-25, 2023. Regular gallery hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. All artwork will be for sale in the Art House Gallery at The Hendrix at 345 Marin Boulevard, Jersey City, NJ 07302, as well as on the Art House Online Gallery on the website.

Saturday, June 3, 2023 - Kevin James to Perform Two Shows at Count Basie Center for the Arts. (RED BANK, NJ) -- Due to popular demand, a second show has been added for Kevin James at Count Basie Center for the Arts. He will be performing on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 5:00pm & 8:00pm. Kevin is one of the most successful comedians of all time, best known for his Emmy-nominated performance in the hit CBS series The King of Queens. 

Saturday, June 3, 2023 - Charlie Puth Announces 2023 Tour, Includes Shows in NJ, Philly and NY. Four-time Grammy-nominated hitmaker Charlie Puth announced he will be embarking on a 2023 tour. Produced by Live Nation, Charlie Puth Presents The “Charlie” Live Experience kicks off on May 24th at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory in Dallas making stops across the U.S. and Canada in Atlanta, Miami, New York and more before wrapping up in Los Angeles at The Greek Theatre on July 11th. Puth will perform at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023.

Saturday, June 3, 2023 - Ocean Casino Resort presents Chris Young. (ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) -- American Idol star Chris Young, takes the stage at Ocean Casino Resort's Ovation Hall on Saturday, June 3. Showtime is 8:00pm.

Saturday, June 3, 2023 - SOMA Backstage Reading Series at SOPAC to Showcase New Musicals and Plays by SOMA-Based Creatives. (SOUTH ORANGE, NJ) -- Situated in what The New York Times calls the town "where Broadway comes home to sleep," the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) announces the inaugural weekend of the SOMA backStage Reading Series, a partnership with local theater company SOMA Stage. On Saturday, June 3 and Sunday, June 4, SOMA Stage will present readings of new plays and musicals written by or starring South Orange and Maplewood's theater professionals in the Loft at SOPAC.

Saturday, June 3, 2023 - Garden State Philharmonic Presents "Bach to the Beatles" with Special Guest Speaker Kenneth Womack. (TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- The Garden State Philharmonic, under the direction of Conductor Diane Wittry, will perform "Bach to the Beatles," a concert showcasing the influence of famous classical music pieces on modern day rock 'n' roll songs, on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the Grunin Center for the Arts at Ocean County College. Showtime is 7:30pm. Prior to the concert, Monmouth University Professor Kenneth Womack, a Beatles author and historian, will deliver an opening presentation at 7:00pm and will be available for a book-signing after the show.

Saturday, June 3, 2023 - Casts Announced for Initial SOMA Backstage Reading Series Productions. (SOUTH ORANGE, NJ) -- The South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) has announced the casts for the inaugural SOMA backStage Reading Series productions: Revival by Broadway veterans Chris Miller and Nathan Tysen and Still by Juilliard Fellow Lia Romeo. The casts are filled with Broadway professionals local to the New Jersey community including Tony Award Nominee Christiane Noll. Performances take place June 3-4, 2023.

Saturday, June 3, 2023 - NJRep presents PRIDE 2023 in June. (LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- New Jersey Repertory Company (NJRep) will present PRIDE 2023 from June 3-25, 2023. This month long celebration includes an Art Gallery Show, a Photography Exhibit, and five one-act plays running throughout the month.

Saturday, June 3, 2023 - Vasa Park to Host Steampunk Festival on June 3rd. (MOUNT OLIVE TWP., NJ) -- Vasa Park in Mount Olive is well known for its ties to the Scandanavian community and its many cultural events, but on Saturday, June 3 it will take a different direction when it hosts its 2nd Annual Steampunk Festival.

Saturday, June 3, 2023 - Two River Theater presents "Two Sisters and a Piano". (RED BANK, NJ) -- Two River Theater will conclude their 2022-2023 season with Two Sisters and a Piano, a passionate tale of revolution, art, and dreams written and directed by Pulitzer Prize-winner Nilo Cruz (Anna in the Tropics), running June 3-25, 2023 in the Joan and Robert Rechnitz Theater.

Saturday, June 3, 2023 - State Theatre New Jersey presents Fête at the Farm featuring a performance by The Bacon Brothers. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey will host its second annual Fête at the Farm, a gala event celebrating live performance, community, and history on Saturday, June 3, 2023. The State Theatre Benefit Gala will be hosted at historic Suydam Farms in Somerset, NJ. The event includes dinner, dancing, and an intimate performance by The Bacon Brothers.

Saturday, June 3, 2023 - Plein Air at Olde Stone House Village on June 3rd. (SEWELL, NJ) -- Artists will paint and draw in Plein Air on June 3, 2023, (rain date June 4) from 9:00am to 3:00pm at the Olde Stone House Historic Village in Sewell. This third annual event will feature a free children's art class at 10:00am, whisk broom making class for adults and older children at 11:00am, free village tour at 1:00pm, and several art, craft and flower vendors. At 3:00pm, judge Nicole Schmitt will announce the day's winners of prizes of $100, $200, $300. Artists will also bring works for sale. Families are encouraged to come and enjoy the free event and sample the Pine Needle Tea.

Saturday, June 3, 2023 - Chrisette Michele to headline Rhythm & Blues by the Brook on June 3rd. (PLAINFIELD, NJ) -- The Union County Board of County Commissioners would like to invite residents to kick off the summer season with Rhythm & Blues by the Brook, a full afternoon of free music and activities at Cedar Brook Park in Plainfield on Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 12:00pm to 6:00pm.

Sunday, June 4, 2023 - NJPAC presents Avery Sunshine. (NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents Avery Sunshine, a phenomenal singer taking no detours in creating melodious music for the masses, if you haven’t seen her live, plan to do on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at 7:00pm.

Sunday, June 4, 2023 - Ricardo Arjona to Perform in Atlantic City during North to Shore Music Festival. (ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) -- North to Shore Music Festival has announced that superstar artist and composer Ricardo Arjona's Blanco Y Negro: Volver Tour that is 23 North American cities will make a stop in Atlantic City at Boardwalk Hall on Sunday, June 4th at 7:00pm.

Sunday, June 4, 2023 - River Crossing Concerts' Spring Fest features live music and food trucks on June 4th. (RIVER EDGE, NJ) -- River Crossing Concerts presents an all-day outdoors festival on Sunday, June 4 from 12:00pm-5:00pm with live music ranging from American jazz and ragtime to Afro-Latin salsa, from the rhythms of Brazilian Samba and Caribbean Reggae to the sparkling sounds of Irish bagpipes. In addition to the live music, the festival will have food trucks, arts and crafts, and games. The event takes place on the lawn and parking lot of First Congregational Church in River Edge. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged.

Sunday, June 4, 2023 - moe-tion dance theater to Perform at Centenary Stage Company on June 4th. (HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) – Under the artistic direction of Maureen Glennon Clayton, moe-tion dance theater will present an afternoon of work as part of the Centenary Stage Company's season at Centenary University on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at 3:00pm.

Sunday, June 4, 2023 - WBGO's Kids Jazz Concert Series and The Louis Armstrong Educational Foundation Present the Bobby Sanabria MULTIVERSE Big Band. (BRONX, NY) -- The Louis Armstrong Educational Foundation (LAEF) and WBGO’s Kids Jazz Concert Series present the multi-Grammy nominated Bobby Sanabria MULTIVERSE Big Band, featuring Janis Siegel, Antoinette Montague and Jennifer Jade Ledesna, in a Latin jazz tribute to Louis Armstrong in association with Hostos Center for the Arts & Culture at Hostos Community College, 450 Grand Concourse at 149th Street in the Bronx, on Sunday, June 4, 1:00-2:00pm. The concert is free and open to the public. Adults must be accompanied by at least one child. Advance reservations are required via EventBrite.

Tuesday, June 6, 2023 - NJPAC presents a night of fado with Hélder Moutinho and Maria Emília. (NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) welcomes a night of fado with Hélder Moutinho and Maria Emília on Saturday, June 6 at 7:30pm. The singers bring their unique stylings to the Victoria Theater Lizzie & Jonathan Tisch Stage accompanied by expressive Portuguese guitar. Hélder Moutinho evokes love, loss and longing in his beautifully emotional vocals. The magnetic Maria Emília, originally from Brazil, is equally adept at conveying deep melancholy and hopeful joy.

Tuesday, June 6, 2023 - New Hope Arts Center Announces Grand Reopening Celebration on June 6th. (NEW HOPE, PA) -- After years of planning and much-anticipated renovations, the New Hope Arts Center is thrilled to announce two major, milestone events in celebration of the historic building's grand reopening in June 2023: "Beyond the Blueprint, Grand Reopening Celebration" on Tuesday, June 6th, followed by a “Members Only Party," on June 10th. Both events are exclusive and offered before officially opening to the public on June 15th, 2023.

RVCC to Host Webinar on Holocaust Remembrance

(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- In commemoration of Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day), the Institute of Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Raritan Valley Community College will present "Meaningful Moments and Holocaust Remembrance with Maud Dahme and NJEA teachers Tamara Beatty and Lisa Hann," on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 7:00pm-8:00pm. The event is free of charge and open to the public.
