Arden Theatre Company Announces 2023-24 Season
 

(PHILADELPHIA , PA) -- The mission of Arden Theatre Company is to bring great stories by great storytellers to the stage, in the classroom, and the community and the theatre's 36th season seeks to exemplify that mission. The 2023-24 season includes two musicals, a regional premiere, a Philadelphia premiere and a World Premiere by a celebrated local author.

 



Centenary Stage Company's Women Playwrights Series to Kick Off with "Abducted"
 

(HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Centenary Stage Company's Women Playwrights Series will kick off with a reading of Abducted by Michele Aldin Kushner. The reading will take place on Wednesday, April 5th at 7:30pm in the Sitnik Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center at 715 Grand Avenue, Hackettstown, NJ on the campus of Centenary University. The Women Playwright Series readings are free to attend with donations welcome, advanced reservations have a $5.00 fee. For those who are unable to attend in-person, the Women Playwrights Series readings will also be live streamed, free of charge, through the Centenary Stage Company website.

 



Centenary Stage Company to Hold Auditions for Next Stage Rep Productions of "Rock of Ages" and "Seussical the Musical"
 

(HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Centenary Stage Company, a not-for-profit professional theater in NW NJ, will hold auditions for its Summer Stock Season. This summer CSC will present Rock of Ages and Seussical the Musical. Auditions will take place on May 4 and May 5 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm at the Centenary Stage Company located at 715 Grand Ave, Hackettstown NJ.

(RED BANK, NJ) -- The Vogel presents Jesse Cook: The Libre Tour on Thursday, July 27 at 7:30pm. A career spanning twenty five years has brought this Canadian guitarist multiple accolades including a coveted Acoustic Guitar Magazine "Player's Choice Silver Award", eleven Juno Award nominations (he won for 2001's "Free Fall"), a Gemini Award and, most impressively, ten platinum and gold studio albums.

 



Bucks Live! Presents Rick Estrin & The Nightcats
 

(NEWTOWN, PA) -- The ZLOCK Performing Arts Center (Zlock PAC) in proud partnership with the Bucks County Blues Society presents on Friday, April 7th a unique evening of blues music with the national, the award-winning harmonica master, songwriter and vocalist Rick Estrin & The Nightcats. Estrin's opening music act is local Mikey Junior and his band for the much-anticipated, annual blues concert starting at 7:30pm.

 



Debra Devi Returns to Fox & Crow on Saturday
 

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Fiery blues-rocker Debra Devi plans to mellow out for her show at Fox & Crow in the Heights on Saturday, April 8. "We love the intimacy of the Parlour at Fox and Crow," Devi says. "This will be a full-band show, but with more acoustic guitar and Americana vibes. We'll be trying out some new songs, too."

 



Chicken Fat Ball: "A Swinging Affair" at The Woodland in Maplewood
 

The Chicken Fat Ball, said tenor saxophonist Harry Allen is a little "like sitting around a dinner table with friends." But instead of deciding what to eat, they decide what tunes to play. "We certainly don’t talk about it ahead of time," Allen added. "It's pretty spontaneous. There might be a little discussion backstage right before we go on. One person suggests something. Someone else suggests something. It's very much like a conversation."

 



Midtown Releases Cover Of Pavement's "Cut Your Hair"

Anirudh Draws Thousands of Fans to Local Arenas for his Debut US Tour
 

(FORT LAUDERDALE, FL) -- Anirudh Ravichander, one of India's mega musical stars, is embarking on the US leg of his "Once Upon A Time" Worldwide Tour. Kicking off today, March 31st, 2023, in Washington DC at the EagleBank Arena, Anirudh and his unique 360 concert experience will then travel the country hitting six major U.S. cities before the final stop, at the Oakland Arena. Similar to the rest of the tour worldwide, these performances are selling out rapidly amid massive excitement among fans. The tour comes to the Prudential Center in Newark on April 1st.

Teaneck International Film Festival, PBS Indie Lens Pop-Up and The Puffin Foundation present Screening of "Free Chol Soo Lee"

(ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) -- On March 26, the Atlantic City Ballet performed "A Midsummer Night's Dream" at Caesars and photographer John Posada was on hand to take photos. Founding Artistic Director/Choreographer Phyllis Papa first choreographed the classic Shakespeare play as a ballet in 2006, following the comic storyline and it has remained in the repertoire for the AC Ballet.

 



MCCC's Academic Theatre and Dance Company Presents the Hip-Hop Production "The Shadow Men" at Kelsey Theatre
 

(WEST WINDSOR, NJ) -- "The Shadow Men," an original dance theatre production inspired by 19 artworks and interviews with local Trenton artist Tamara Torres, will be performed by the Mercer County Community College Academic Theatre and Dance Company at Kelsey Theatre April 14 -16. Inspired by the parts of Torres's life story (what she is willing to reveal) and her artwork, the MCCC Academic Theatre and Dance Company draws inspiration to work through topics such as feminism, mental health awareness and racial inequality to create a haunting and thrilling production.

"Passion Fusion" at Dupree Gallery in Lambertville
 

(LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- For the months of April and May, the Dupree Gallery in Lambertville, NJ, is hosting an exhibition entitled "Passion Fusion". It will be on view from Friday to Sunday each weekend, starting April, through May 28th, with a reception on April 8th from 5:00pm-8:00pm. The artwork on display will feature gallery owner James E. Dupree alongside renowned fiber artist Arturo Alonzo Sandoval. Dupree Gallery is a black-owned business founded by Philadelphia-based artist James E. Dupree and has locations in both Philadelphia PA and Lambertville NJ.

Ocean County Library's Sensory Space @ Jackson Opens to the Public on Tuesday
 

(JACKSON TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- The Ocean County Library expands its mission of "connecting people, building community, transforming lives" with a new, fully-equipped sensory space in its Jackson Branch. The grand opening and ribbon cutting for Sensory Space at Jackson will take place on Tuesday, April 4. The event begins at 1:00pm.

Aslan’s Founders to be Honored by House On Steven Avenue Fund Gala
 

(RED BANK, NJ) -- Regarded as two "Good Samaritans" Craig and Lynn Ann Bogard have dedicated their lives to ministry, by leading a Monmouth County non-profit organization, which provides not only refuge to many youth, but light in some of their darkest hours. Their life saving work also has impacted youth and families in L'Acajou Haiti, where the couple built a medical clinic and church in 2003.

 



Monmouth County Park System to Hold Spring Craft Show
 

(TINTON FALLS, NJ) -- On Saturday, April 15, the Monmouth County Park System will host its Spring Craft Show at the Fort Monmouth Recreation Center, 2566 Guam Lane, Tinton Falls.
