(SOMERS POINT, NJ) -- The Somers Point Poetry Society is a new group that will hold a Poetry Meet Up on the 2nd Thursday of each month. The next Poetry Meet Up takes place on Thursday, April 13th at the Senior Center, starting at 6:00pm. The theme is Character Study; feel free to bring poems on theme.

The Somers Point Poetry Society is a community poetry club, open to anyone wishing to participate in the criticism and conversation of poetry at themed meetups each month.

Via email, each member will be sent two poems on theme, in order to spur viable and thoughtful conversation on the work.  This is an opportunity for everyone, to share in new perspectives and read poetry outside those zones of comfort we all live in.

​​​​​​​Attendees are invited to bring a poem, on theme, they would like to discuss with the group.

The Senior Center is located at 22 N. Ambler Road in Somers Point, New Jersey.
