SOMA Backstage Reading Series at SOPAC to Showcase New Musicals and Plays by SOMA-Based Creatives (SOUTH ORANGE, NJ) -- Situated in what The New York Times calls the town "where Broadway comes home to sleep," the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) announces the inaugural weekend of the SOMA backStage Reading Series, a partnership with local theater company SOMA Stage. On Saturday, June 3 and Sunday, June 4, SOMA Stage will present readings of new plays and musicals written by or starring South Orange and Maplewood's theater professionals in the Loft at SOPAC.

Red Bank Comedy Festival to Run April 27-29 (RED BANK, NJ) -- The first ever Red Bank Comedy Festival is arriving with a bang. The festival will take place over three days, from April 27 to April 29, and will feature over 20 comedians performing at four different venues across the town.
State Theatre presents An Evening with David Sedaris (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The fully renovated State Theatre New Jersey presents An Evening with David Sedaris on Tuesday, April 4 at 7:30pm. Sedaris, one of America's pre-eminent humor writers, will do a book signing after the show for all ticket holders. Tickets range from $29-$69.
Music Mountain Theatre presents YAY! Comedy Show on Sunday (LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- International Headliner Aidan Park returns to Music Mountain Theatre in Lambertville, NJ, as they present their 2nd Comedy Club Night on Sunday, March 26th at 7:00pm. 2023 New Jersey International Film Festival to Take Place in June (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The Rutgers Film Co-op/New Jersey Media Arts Center, in association with the Rutgers University Program in Cinema Studies, will present the 2023 New Jersey International Film Festival which marks their 28th Anniversary. The Festival will be taking place on the Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between June 2-11, 2023. The Festival will be a hybrid one as they will be presenting it online as well as doing in-person screenings at Rutgers University.

RVCC Dance Professor Recognized with Artist Fellowship (BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- Loretta Di Bianca Fois, Raritan Valley Community College Professor of Dance, is among 96 artists selected for a 2023 Individual Artist Fellowship from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. Professor Fois was chosen from 635 eligible applicants in seven artistic disciplines.
