The Cathedral Arts Series at Trinity presents Mezzo Soprano Elyse Langley

(TRENTON, NJ) -- The Cathedral Arts Series at Trinity (CAST ) and On Demand Programs and Events! are proud to partner in presenting Mezzo Soprano Elyse Langley in a multi-media presentation in honor of Women's History Month entitled, Let It Begin with Me: A Musical Celebration of Women, on Sunday, March 26 at 2:00pm.  Admission is free; a free will offering will be gratefully accepted. Trinity Cathedral is located at 801 West State Street in Trenton.

Celebrating the lives and humanitarian contributions of remarkable women throughout history. This show features stories about Harriet Tubman, author and watchmaker Corrie ten Boom, Sojourner Truth, Actress Jane Froman and more, all set to inspirational music of all genres.

Elyse is a graduate of Rider University where she studied Musical Theatre. She graduated with honors and holds a bachelor of music degree. Elyse has performed at Bristol Riverside Theatre in various roles and in seasonal concerts for the past ten years as well as many other theaters across the United States. When Elyse is not on stage, she can be found teaching acting at the Mannington Music School.

Bobbie Powell, chair of the Cathedral Arts Series at Trinity is excited to welcome Elyse Langley to the Cathedral. “CAST seeks to bring uplifting, inspiring music to the Trenton area. We are especially keen to showcase the talents of area artists who have so much to offer. This program celebrating notable women is sure to be treasured.”

Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, a member of the world-wide Anglican Communion, is a vibrant faith-infused community. Trinity Cathedral has a threefold function - to serve its members as a parish church, to serve the Diocese of New Jersey as its cathedral, and to serve the City of Trenton as a center of help and hope to everyone, but especially those who live on the margins. They are a resource to the wider community, promoting a range of outreach ministries to the city of Trenton and beyond.

Proceeds from the performance will benefit the outreach activities of the Cathedral including its food pantry, the Urban Promise Afterschool Program, and the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK) satellite unit housed at Trinity.

The mission of On Demand Programs and Events  is to create inspiring programs that enrich our lives and promote positive change. On Demand! is truly a full-service entertainment agency, providing marketing, publicity and logistical support to its artists and clients.
