(BORDENTOWN, NJ) -- Just a few short weeks after announcing the loss of their space, Pegasus Theatre Company will finish their 2022-23 Season with the heart-warming and funny play, Every Brilliant Thing by Duncan McMillan and Jonny Donahoe, directed by Jonathan A. Martin and starring Peter Bisgaier. Every Brilliant Thing performs at Bordentown City’s Old City Hall, March 17-26.

“We’re so grateful for the outpouring of support we’ve received from the Bordentown community,” said Jennifer Nasta Zefutie, Managing Artistic Director of the company. “From people reaching out to suggest possible new performance locations, to local organizations offering space to hold classes and camps, we’re excited to be able to continue our work in this incredible little city.”

In response to a childhood trauma, a young boy starts a list, that grows with and beyond him, of all the truly beautiful and wonderful things worth living for. From ice cream to music, Every Brilliant Thing, is a play that celebrates life and the importance of the human connection by shining a funny and compassionate light on the dark corners of the human condition.

Producing Artistic Director, Peter Bisgaier, plays the Narrator in this unique piece. “Every Brilliant Thing is an exciting project for Pegasus and myself, and I’m thrilled to bring it to Bordentown,” Bisgaier shared. “It’s a wonderful play about the resilience of the human spirit. In times like we face today, this is a story of humanity and community that we can all celebrate together.”

Director Jonathan A. Martin is a Bordentown City resident and has worked with Pegasus since 2016 in many roles including actor, dramaturg, fight choreographer, and now director. “This is one of the most challenging yet rewarding shows I’ve worked on. It’s a deeply personal story, yet completely relatable to everyone. Audiences will be treated to a unique theatrical experience that will stay with them for a long time.”

Every Brilliant Thing is unlike any show I have ever done. It scares me a little, the tightrope nature of the performance,” added Bisgaier.

Pegasus Theatre Company thanks its patrons, audience, and the Bordentown City community for the immense support it has received. They especially thank the Old City Hall Restoration Committee, Val Sassaman, Daniel Aubrey, Carol Hill, and Mayor Jennifer Sciortino for their leadership, support, and encouragement.

Every Brilliant Thing, written by Duncan McMillan and Jonny Donahoe, direction by Jonathan A. Martin runs March 17-26, Fridays at 8:00pm, Saturdays at 2:00pm & 8:00pm, and Sundays at 3:00pm at Old City Hall, 13 Crosswicks St. Bordentown, NJ. Tickets are $30-35 and are available for purchase online or by calling 609.759.0045.

Pegasus Theatre Company is a non-profit, professional theatre company in its fifth season. Pegasus’s mission is to illuminate and elevate human experiences through courageous and imaginative theatrical storytelling. Known for their thought-provoking and entertaining productions, Pegasus was nominated for 2020 Best Small Theatre in the JerseyArts.com People’s Choice Awards.
