PHOTOS from "Drop Dead!" at WHATCo (WEST HUDSON, NJ) -- The West Hudson Arts & Theater Company (WHATCo) is celebrating their Main Stage 2023 season with the debut of the comedy farse Drop Dead! by Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore, and with a much-anticipated move to a new performance space in Harrison, NJ. A Special Presentation on 'Women in Jazz' by Historian Chuck Granata and Filmmaker Jim Burns (MADISON, NJ) -- Author, producer and music historian Charles L. (Chuck) Granata will present a 90-minute program focusing on the importance of Women in Jazz at the New Jersey Jazz Society's Jersey Jazz LIVE! program on March 5th. The event takes place at the Madison Community Arts Center.
Sourland Mountain Festival Returns in July (RINGOES, NJ) – -Mark your calendars now, because on Saturday, July 15th, from 3:00pm – 8:30pm, the Sourland Conservancy will be hosting its 18th Annual Sourland Mountain Festival! The Sourland Mountain Festival will again be presented by Unionville Vineyards, with a VIP Experience provided by The Ryland Inn and will feature live music, local food, craft beer, wine and spirits, mountain history, and family activities. Proceeds will benefit the Sourland Conservancy, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the history and ecology of the Sourland Mountain region of Central New Jersey.

25 Years of The Wag: Brian Ostering Talks History, Special Night, and New Album The Wag will celebrate the band's 25th Anniversary and the release of their new album, Blue Bottles and Copper Coins, at The Strand Theater in Lakewood on Saturday, March 25, 2023. Based in Monmouth County, the band includes Brian Ostering and his wife Alicia Van Sant, Don Lee, and Joshua Van Ness. All four take turns as lead vocalist through catchy original songs and create an tremendously fun atmosphere on stage. They perform everywhere from coffeehouses and libraries to clubs and concert halls and have played shows in England, Canada, Japan, and the West Coast. Not many bands ever last a decade much less twenty-five, so we reached out to Brian to learn the complete story of the band and talk about the new album and special night.
Wharton Arts Awards Two Local Teens with Accolades (BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ) -- On February 24, Wharton Arts announced that two local teens have received awards from the Garden State’s leading performing arts education organization. Aadhitya Raam Ashok of Edison is the winner of the inaugural Wharton Arts Annual Choral Composition Competition and Nina Park of Basking Ridge is the winner of the 2023 New Jersey Youth Symphony Concerto Competition.
