(ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ) -- The Atlantic Highlands Arts Council presents Write Away! - a light-hearted approach to what some consider a serious endeavor: putting the written word on paper (or computer). This is a course with four sessions that run on Tuesdays at 11:00am from March 7 to March 28, 2023. The course is taught by Mary Blehl Walsh, a published writer.

The course is geared towards those just getting started on memoir, or those who have a work in progress. Reflections on theme, purpose, audience, selection of material, and chronology will assist in understanding this most popular genre of the 21st century. A writer's toolbox will be provided, as well as prompts for homework assignments. The only requirement is the willingness to listen with an open mind to your classmates' work, should they choose to read.

The course costs $89 and includes 4 sessions (March 7th, March 14th, March 21st, and March 28th). Click here to sign up for the course.

Mary Blehl Walsh, a published writer, has been teaching Write Away!  since 2020, at Brookdale, Flagler College on zoom, and the Five Star Senior Residence. Prior to that she used her M.A. to teach adjunct college courses.

The Atlantic Highlands Arts Council is located at 54 First Avenue in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey.
