Jersey City Theater Center presents "HAN!" (JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Jersey City Theater Center presents HAN!, an intimate story of Korean culture told through dance and dialogue. The performance features an ancient dance under a neon light. A virgin ghost stares out of the TV. A baby left alone in an apartment meditates on the nature of solitude. A woman explores memories of her life in relation to the Korean concept of Han. The show is in Korean with English subtitles performed by Hyun Ju Baek. These events are co-presented by Jersey City Theater Center in partnership with Theatre No Theatre, Teatro Della Toscana, Polish Cultural Institute NY, Korean Cultural Institute and Korea Society.
CDC Theatre presents Shakespeare's Comedy "Twelfth Night" (CRANFORD, NJ) -- “Better a witty fool, than a foolish wit.”, “If music be the food of love, play on” and “Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon ‘em.” are just a few of the familiar lines from William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night.

Ocean County Library Jackson Branch presents Rhythm N' Sound (JACKSON, NJ) -- The spirit of love will fill the air during the Valentine’s Day concert featuring Rhythm N’ Sound at the Ocean County Library Jackson Branch on Wednesday, February 15. The popular Jersey Shore group will present a rich menu of romantic classics from its vast repertoire of rock ‘n roll, pop standards, classic rock, doo-wop, disco and Motown favorites from the ‘50s through the ‘80s. "Straight Jokes, No Chaser Comedy Tour" comes to Prudential Center (NEWARK, NJ) -- In partnership with Urban Vibe Entertainment, The Black Promoters Collective is happy to announce their first Comedy tour, "Straight Jokes, No Chaser Comedy Tour." The event hosted by Mike Epps features standup comedy greats Cedric The Entertainer, D.L. Hughley, and DC Young Fly. Selling out arenas with their R&B tours this past year, the collective is now expanding its promotion into the comedy industry with this 23-city tour. The tour starts on Saturday, March 4, in Indianapolis, IN, and ends on Saturday, May 27, in Las Vegas, NV. The tour makes a stop at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on Saturday, April 15.

Neo-noir thriller City of Love screens on opening weekend of the Spring 2023 New Jersey Film Festival! The terrific feature film City of Love, directed by Eric Boadella, features 148 Rides, 1 City, 1 Date, 2 Deaths and 1 Miracle. In this neo-noir feature, Spencer, a troubled rideshare driver in Los Angeles, will go to dangerous lengths to reconnect with the world he lost after spending 20 years in jail.

The Herb + Milly Iris Gallery at SOPAC presents "SLADE: A Family Affair" (SOUTH ORANGE, NJ) -- It is often said that art inspires more art. That is certainly true for Kelvin and Corrine Slade, father-and-daughter artists featured in SLADE: A Family Affair, an exhibition at The Herb + Milly Iris Gallery at SOPAC, on display from January 26–March 5. Kelvin, who takes photographs of Jazz performers, has an undying love for the musical genre, while Corrine taps into her admiration for Jazz when creating comforting abstract environments in her oil paintings. In celebration of Black History Month, this exhibit portrays the influence that Black music, particularly Jazz, has had on the artists.
Studio Montclair presents "Rhythm & Blues" (MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- In honor of Black History Month, Studio Montclair, Inc. presents “Rhythm & Blues,” their first exhibition of the new year. Celebrating the intersection between music and art in its many permutations, the exhibit examines the visual artist’s perceptions of the rhythm and blues musical traditions. Included are paintings, drawings, mixed media, electronic, and digital art. The exhibition runs from February 2 – March 10, 2023.
