Bergen County Players presents "The Story of Velveteen Rabbit"

(ORADELL, NJ) -- Bergen County Players (BCP), one of America’s foremost little theater groups, continues its 90th season with the return of a treasured holiday season tradition: the annual BCP family show: The Story of Velveteen Rabbit, a musical based on the classic book by Margery Williams, plays December 3-18 at the Little Firehouse Theatre, 298 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell.

Music and Art Collide at Art629 on November 25th

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- On Friday, November 25 from 7:00pm-9:00pm, art629 gallery, home of the Asbury Underground, is bringing music and art together again with special performances by Martin Howth, Kuf Knotz, and Christine Elise. Gallery owner/founder Patrick Schiavino and his partner, art629's event coordinator, Brittany James, will have their art on display and for sale including some new works made in the last few months.


The Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra presents A Holiday Concert

The New Jersey Web Festival (NJ WebFest) has announced two new programs to increase access for historically underrepresented creators as well as to create an even more fair and representative judging process. NJ WebFest feels strongly that festivals and awards programs should be both accessible to all creators and professionally managed/adjudicated to instill confidence that every submission, acceptance, nomination, and award winner is fairly considered.



DanceWorks at RVCC to Feature Student and Faculty Performances

Jersey City Theater Center Presents Live Visual Art and Dance this Weekend

And yet on the balmy November afternoon I went to see it, I wondered: Have we reemerged? Neighbors and friends are still contracting COVID, there had been FBI warnings of threats to synagogues in New Jersey, and in the days leading up to the elections, fears of voter intimidation and violence loomed.
