4) Plays-in-the-Park returns for their 60th season to Middlesex County this summer with three popular Broadway musicals - (EDISON, NJ) -- Middlesex County’s Plays-in-the-Park is returning to the stage this summer, with performances of Something Rotten!, The SpongeBob Musical, and A Chorus Line at the Stephen J. Capestro Theatre in Edison, part of Plays-in-the-Park’s 60th season.

Baraka announced the launch of Eproval, an online permitting platform that will be used to process applications for special events, block parties, First Amendment gatherings, and film permits. The City moved to an automated platform to streamline the permitting process, reduce complexity, eliminate paper, and save time spent in meetings.

7) Jem Records to Celebrate Pete Townshend With New Compilation - Fifty years ago, an avid Who fan named Marty Scott and his two childhood friends from New Jersey began to sell records in their college dorms. They traveled to England after graduation and went searching to find a Who album that was not available in the USA. He realized there must be others who wanted it too. This was the start of importing rock albums by JEM Records. Carrying on through the 70's and 80's as the premier independent distribution and label group, Jem helped many labels get national distribution, broke artists via radio and retail, and released hundreds of albums.
8) PHOTOS from "Matilda the Musical" at Pleasant Valley Productions - (WEST ORANGE, NJ) -- Pleasant Valley Productions is presenting Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical July 15-16 and July 22-23 - each night at 8:00pm - at Oskar Schindler Performing Arts Center in West Orange. 9) The Antoinette Montague Experience Has Shows In Newark and Morristown - (MORRISTOWN, NJ) – The Antoinette Montague Experience will be in concert at the Newark Museum of Art and the Morris Museum’s Bickford Theatre in July. Joined by pianist Danny Mixon, bassist Melissa Slocum, saxophonist Gene Ghee, tap dancer A.C. Lincoln and special guests, vocalist Antoinette Montague will appear at outdoor concerts in Newark on Friday, July 29, and in Morristown on Saturday, July 30.
10) M. Night Shyamalan Returned to South Jersey to Film "Knock at the Cabin" - (BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ) -- M. Night Shyamalan returned to South Jersey to film his upcoming apocalyptic horror film Knock at the Cabin, which just wrapped. The film marks the 15th feature film produced and directed by Shyamalan, with Jarin Blaschke as cinematographer. Produced by Binding Edge Pictures and Universal Pictures, Knock at the Cabin will be released by Universal on February 3, 2023. The principal photography was done in Burlington County.
11) Chickie & Pete's to Raise Money for Families of Fallen Police Officers on National French Fry Day - (PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- Chickie's & Pete's is once again celebrating National French Fry Day with their 8th Annual Crabfries for Heroes event which benefits the Fraternal Order of Police Survivors Fund. All sales from one dollar Crabfries® on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 will be donated to the Fund to help families of fallen police officers. All major Chickie's and Pete's locations in the Philadelphia region are participating, including Audubon, Bordentown, Drexel Hill, Egg Harbor, Glassboro, Marlton, Parx Casino, Roosevelt Blvd., South Philadelphia, Robbins Ave and Warrington. As a special thanks to the community, Chickie's and Pete's will also launch the Crabfries Express on Thursday, July 14th with the famous food truck visiting Philly landmarks with free Crabfries.
12) The Wag talk about their Beatles Spectacular at The Strand on July 23rd - (LAKEWOOD, NJ) -- The Wag presents a Beatles Spectacular at The Strand Theater in Lakewood on July 23, 2022 at 7:30pm. 15) Ken Womack presents Sir George Martin and The Beatles’ Abbey Road Medley In-Person at Middletown Arts Center - (MIDDLETOWN, NJ) -- On Thursday, July 14th at 7:00pm, Monmouth University Professor Ken Womack will trace the story of George Martin's production of the Abbey Road medley, the brilliant symphonic suite that brought The Beatles’ career to a close. He will do this via a multimedia, interactive presentation. Through rare clips and video, Dr. Womack will demonstrate the ways in which Martin and the band assembled the component parts of the spectacular song cycle that concluded the group's artistic fusion.
