(LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- In the Heights is being presented by Music Mountain Theatre weekends through July 24. Conceived by Lin-Manuel Miranda, In the Heights tells the universal story of a vibrant community in New York’s Washington Heights neighborhood - a place where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music. Holmdel Theatre Company's New Play Reading Series Presents Two Works By Evan Krachman


HOLMDEL, NJ) -- The Play Reading Series at Holmdel Theatre Company presents readings of two new works by Evan Krachman on Monday, July 11 at 7:00pm. The works include Rusted Lock and Colony 53. Admission is free. Donations are welcome.
"American Idiot" in Asbury Park is a Winner


Live theater returns to Asbury Park this month as the Asbury Park Theater Company presents American Idiot. An exuberant version of the Green Day Broadway hit show plays one more weekend in the Kingsley Theater at the Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel. Directed by William Whitefield, this show features a cast with singing voices that will knock your socks off! Green Day’s music and Billie Joe Armstrong’s lyrics are in good hands with Music Direction by Andrew Macirowski. Equally as exciting is the choreography provided by Serena Soffer as the cast puts on a first rate production. This show is a winner that theater goers will love seeing.

(FREEHOLD, NJ) -- Center Players is concluding its 2021-22 season with a production of Jackie Robinson Steals Home at Center Playhouse in downtown Freehold from July 8-17, 2022.  The historical drama is set in 1947 at Yankee Stadium where the Yankees are playing the Brooklyn Dodgers and the newest member of the Dodgers is the first African American to play major league baseball -- Jackie Robinson. The Spring Lake Theatre Company is opening the 2022-2023 season with one of the most beloved stories of all time: Beauty and the Beast. Twelve performances take place across July 7-24. When Belle’s father is imprisoned in a mysterious castle, her attempt to rescue him leads her to be captured by the Beast, a fearsome monster long ago trapped in his gruesome form by an enchantress. The only way for the Beast to become human once again is if he learns to love and be loved in return. Photographer John Posada was on hand to take some photos.

The audiences at the Unicorn Theater, in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, in the Berkshires, can do it, too. Cape May Stage presents "America's Sexiest Couple"


(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- America’s Sexiest Couple the second play of Cape May Stage’s 2022 season, runs Tuesday to Sunday evenings from July 14 until August 14. The laugh-out-loud comedy is the work of Ken Levine, the three-time Emmy Award–winning writer who has been honored for his work on classic comedies such as “Everybody Loves Raymond,” “The Simpsons,” “Cheers,” and more. Levine brings his surefire one-liners and eye for comedic plotting to America’s Sexiest Couple, a raucous new play which Cape May Stage is honored to premiere.

The Wag talk about their Beatles Spectacular at The Strand on July 23rd

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Surati for Performing Arts, the tri-state area's premier award-winning nonprofit, performed at the Freedom and Fireworks Festival on July 4th, now known as New Jersey's July 4th celebrations. The celebrations were held at Exchange Place, Jersey City on the waterfront. Hosted by Mayor Steven Fulop, The Jersey City Municipal Council, Exchange Place Alliance, and The Office of Cultural Affairs, this event was one of the largest Independence Day celebrations in the region drawing around 200,000 visitors and performances by A-list artists. This year Shaquille O’Neal (a.k.a. DJ Diesel), Funk Flex, and Flo Rida took the stage where Surati also performed.

Morristown Will Unveil New Public Art on July 12


(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- On July 12, 2022 at 1:00pm, the Town of Morristown will unveil its next piece of public art at Open Space at Speedwell located at 51 Prospect Street next to the Modera 44 and Modera 55 apartments. This piece was part of an international selection process issued in June 2018, which chose and commissioned Nathan S. Pierce of Cape Girardeau, Missouri for the project, in early 2019. After some delays due to the pandemic, the sculpture is now ready to be installed and presented to the public.

18th Annual RVCC Foundation Golf Classic Raises Over $127,000


(RINGOES, NJ) -- The RVCC Foundation raised over $127,000 at the 18th Annual RVCC Foundation Golf Classic, held June 20 at the Copper Hill Country Club in Ringoes. The RVCC Foundation is the fundraising arm of Raritan Valley Community College. It provides the resources that enable the College to enhance its programs beyond public and tuition sources and to maintain its standing as a premier academic institution and one of the most important sources of culture and continuing education in Somerset and Hunterdon counties.
Monmouth County Commissioners announce nonprofit recipients of ARPA grant program


(FREEHOLD, NJ) -- The Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners has announced that 93 nonprofit organizations, located in the County, are being awarded grants in the total amount of $24,285,519.49 through the Monmouth County American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) COVID-19 Community Recovery Grant Program.
