Pop-rock duo Highwind has released their latest single "Hung Up (Ft. L. St. Germain)". This is the last single to be released off of the band's upcoming LP Something Right In Between - out everywhere May 6th.
"'Hung Up' is about the burning desire to be with someone you can not have. The love, lust, and attraction of someone that you can not get over. They make you think about yourself differently. They make you question your thoughts and feelings. But when all is said and done, the only thing you have is those feelings that can’t be reciprocated. Musically, this song is heavily inspired by neon pop bands like All-American Rejects, Forever The Sickest Kids, The Ready Set, and whatever pop-rock bands were popular in the mid-2000s. A nice touch of modern pop is also thrown in there for texture and taste," said Chris Russo, Highwind frontman.
Highwind is the pop-rock passion project of New Jersey singer-songwriter, Chris Russo and drummer, Dan Smith. Highwind’s aim as a pop-rock act is to tell an honest, relatable story by means of catchy hooks, colorful guitar parts, and infectious rhythms. After working with producers such as Adam Cichocki (Kaonashi, Soul Blind, Gatherers, Like Pacific, and more) and Connor Hanson (Halogens, Mandancing, Latewaves, and more), as well as performing with acts such as Young Culture, Homesafe, Handguns, and Shallow Pools, Highwind is ready to take their stories to your stereo and to your stage.
