(WARETOWN, NJ) -- Albert Music Hall will be filled with peace, pickin' and harmonies on Sunday, August 9, 2026 as Pineystock returns for a "far out" afternoon celebrating the sounds and spirit of the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Inspired by the Woodstock era, the event invites those who lived it and new generations alike to enjoy an afternoon filled with live music, singing, and community. Visitors are encouraged to dust off their tie-dye, embrace their inner flower child, and enjoy music of artists such as Janis Joplin, the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, CCR and many more.
Doors open at 1:00pm, with music beginning at 2:00pm. The event will feature five bands: Redbird & The Rubber Chickens will open the show followed by Lost in Brunswick, Acoustic Flannel, Willis Family Band, and The Goodstock Jam Band.
In addition to the performances, visitors are invited to participate in a drum circle in the Hall's Pickin' Shed starting at 1:00pm and continuing throughout the afternoon. Visitors of all ages and experience levels can bring a percussion instrument and join the rhythm.
Other activities include face painting featuring peace signs, flowers, and other themed designs available for an additional fee charged by an independent vendor. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and the gift shop will be offering a limited run of Pineystock 2 commemorative T-shirts while supplies last.
Admission is free for Pinelands Cultural & Historical Preservation Society (PCS) members, with one free child admitted per member. Member tickets will be emailed in advance. Admission for non-members is $10 for adults and $1 for children. Visitors can also become PCS members at the door for $10, though advance registration through the website is encouraged to avoid lines. For more details go to alberthall.org/pcs-membership.
The Food Booth will be open throughout the afternoon serving cheeseburgers, hot dogs, and a vegan burger on request, along with a selection of desserts, ice creams, and beverages.
The venue is cash only, with free parking, wheelchair accessibility, and open seating. Guests are encouraged to arrive early for the best seat selection.
Pineystock is more than a tribute to the music of the late 1960s and early 1970s. It celebrates a culture of community, creativity and making music together. These are values that have been at the heart of Albert Music Hall since its earliest days and trace back to the Hall's Cabin Jam tradition.
Like every performance at Albert Music Hall, Pineystock will be recorded and preserved as part of PCS' growing archive, which documents more than five decades of local music, traditions and community history. Work that has recently gained additional recognition through the inclusion of Albert Music Hall materials in the Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music.
Ongoing preservation efforts rely on community support, and donations help fund the equipment, supplies and volunteer projects needed to protect and share this growing collection for future generations.
Albert Music Hall, located at 131 Wells Mills Road, Waretown, NJ, is operated by the Pinelands Cultural & Historical Preservation Society (PCS), an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preserving the music, history and cultural heritage of New Jersey's Pinelands.
