Centenary Stage Company presents the World Premiere of "Whippoorwill"


(HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Centenary Stage Company has cast their World Premiere production of Whippoorwill by Ruth Kirschner, and tickets are on-sale now. Performances will take place in-person March 31 through April 10 in the Sitnik Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center at 715 Grand Avenue, Hackettstown, NJ on the campus of Centenary University.  A performance of Whippoorwill will be also be live streamed on Saturday, April 9 at 8:00pm with tickets available for $10.
The Theater Project Confronts Race and Policing in Dueling One-Acts: "Black Lives/Blue Lives"


The Theater Project, a leading incubator for rising talent and a showcase for New Jersey artists, will be offering the thought-provoking interactive program, Black Lives/Blue Lives on Monday, March 21 at 1:00pm & 7:30pm, Tickets for the live online performances and facilitated discussions are $10.

Water Street releases "All We Tried To Be"


(BLAIRSTOWN, NJ) -- Navigating through a pandemic has been a challenge to say the least, but for NJ band Water Street, it’s been a three-year process of shut-downs, canceled recording sessions & gigs and production delays that seemed never-ending. Bouncing from Asbury Park to Dover and ultimately completing recording in their own studio with engineer/producer Joe Webster, determined band members and friends, Dave Paulson, Connor Konecnik, Joe Byrne and Mike Stark pushed through and pushed out “All We Tried To Be” - an 11-song album now available on all streaming platforms.
Restored Antique Organ is Returned to the Olde Stone House Village


(GRENLOCH TERRACE, NJ) -- Washington Township’s Olde Stone House Village has recently welcomed back its newly restored Mason & Hamlin “Sankey” model pump organ to the Olde Bunker Hill Church. The organ, made in the late 1890s, had been removed for repairs some years ago. The Friends of the Olde Stone House Village, a 501© 3 non-profit dedicated solely to supporting the Olde Stone House Village, have lately been concentrating on a fundraising campaign on both Facebook and with direct marketing which provided the funds for the organ’s restoration.
Westminster Conservatory Faculty Present An Evening of Chamber Music on March 13 in Bristol Chapel


(PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Westminster Conservatory Faculty Recital Series continues with An Evening of Chamber Music on Sunday, March 13 at 7:30pm in Bristol Chapel. The program will feature Phyllis Alpert Lehrer and Ena Bronstein Barton, piano; Melissa Bohl, oboe; and guest violinist Alexei Yavtuhovich.  They will perform music of Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Leone Sinigaglia and G.F. Malipiero. Admission to the recital is free and all guests will be asked to review and complete an assumption of risk agreement. Masking is optional.
Richie Ramone Comes To The Sherman Theater on March 29th


(STROUDSBURG, PA) -- American drummer Richard Reinhardt, best known by his stage name Richie Ramone, will perform at the Sherman Showcase room of the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg on March 29.  The show will open with support from Rubix Pube and The Mesos.  Ramone was the drummer for the punk band The Ramones in the '80s. Doors are 6:30pm; Showtime is 7:30pm.
MOZAIKA Concert Series Slates Two Benefit Performances at RVCC in March


(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- The MOZAIKA Concert Series at Raritan Valley Community College, presented by the College’s Arts & Design department, will offer two benefit concerts in March. The Tarmu/Takamen Duet, featuring Eldad Tarmu on vibraphone and Nobuki Takamen on guitar, will perform Thursday, March 17 at 7:00pm.

Paul Robeson Galleries Presents Screening of "The Remedy" and Conversation with the Filmmakers on March 10th


(NEWARK, NJ) -- On March 10, 2022 at 6:00pm, Paul Robeson Galleries presents a film screening of The Remedy, a profile of two New Jersey based hip-hop artists, Freddy Salgado (Face Cadet), a self-taught musician and Ecuadorian immigrant, and Serenity AKATDB, a queer African American woman who’s carved a career in a male-dominated genre while battling lupus and a turbulent family history.

Pink (Eye) and Red (Portraits): Solo Exhibits at Gallery Aferro


Gallery Aferro, located in downtown Newark, is an artist-run, alternative arts space offering exhibitions, events, and studio residency programs. On view through April 1, 2022, are solo exhibits by Armisey Smith and Caren King Choi. Visually engaging, technically impressive, and emotionally complex, each show uniquely explores the roles and lives of American women and diasporic communities at this point in history.

Princeton Makes and Ragged Sky Press Hold Second Sunday Poetry Reading on March 13


(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Princeton Makes, a Princeton-based artist cooperative, and Ragged Sky Press, a local publisher focused on poetry, will host a Second Sunday Poetry Reading on Sunday, March 13 at 4:00pm.  The readings will take place at the Princeton Makes store in the Princeton Shopping Center. The reading will feature Todd C. Evans and Stacey Williams. Their readings will be followed by an open mic available to up to 10 audience members who would like to read their original poetry.
