Water Street releases "All We Tried To Be"

originally published: 03/06/2022

(BLAIRSTOWN, NJ) -- Navigating through a pandemic has been a challenge to say the least, but for NJ band Water Street, it’s been a three-year process of shut-downs, canceled recording sessions & gigs and production delays that seemed never-ending. Bouncing from Asbury Park to Dover and ultimately completing recording in their own studio with engineer/producer Joe Webster, determined band members and friends, Dave Paulson, Connor Konecnik, Joe Byrne and Mike Stark pushed through and pushed out “All We Tried To Be” - an 11-song album now available on all streaming platforms.

Born out of the northwest hills of New Jersey in the shadow of the Appalachian Ridge, Water Street mixes soulful acoustic melodies, enticing bluegrass mandolin riffs, and a driving rhythm section with some hints of funk which combine to create a unique Pop/Americana sound. The band is named after the real life Water Street in Blairstown, where in 2014 the founding members began playing and practicing in an old warehouse adjacent to the Paulinskill Creek.

Water Street released their first full-length album “Waiting for Martin” in 2016 and followed it up with “Dear You” - a six-track EP in 2018 and have appeared on the pages of Vents Magazine and The Indie Music Review. They have played at such iconic venues and events such as The Bitter End, The Stone Pony, The Saint, The Stanhope House, Roy's Hall and Musikfest.

The band is currently booking a northeast tour in support of the new release.  Stay up-to-date with their news by following them on Facebook, Instagram, and Spotify.
