New Jersey City University presents "Pippin"

originally published: 02/09/2022

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- There's magic to do when Pippin learns the true meaning of glory, war, love, and fulfillment in Stephen Schwartz's iconic and unforgettable award-winning musical masterpiece. See for yourself when Pippin is presented across two weekends (March 25-27 and April 1-3) in the Margaret Williams Theatre at New Jersey City University.

Pippin is in search of the secret to true happiness and fulfillment. Lead by the Leading Player and a troupe of actors, dancers and performers, Pippin is guided through the glories of the battlefield, the temptations of the flesh and the intrigues of political power. In the end, though, Pippin finds that happiness lies not in extraordinary endeavors, but rather in the unextraordinary moments that happen every day. Fulfillment comes not in 15 minutes of fame, but in living one’s life in the present and sharing that life with those who matter.

Winner of four 2013 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival, this updated version of Pippin continues to captivate and appeal to the young at heart throughout the world.

Performances take place in the Margaret Williams Theatre March 25, 26 at 8:00pm and March 27 at 3:00pm; April 1, 2 at 8:00pm and April 3 at 3:00pm. Tickets are $25 Public | $15 Students/Seniors. There will be no tickets available at the door, tickets must be purchased in advance.  All attendees must adhere to NJCU Theater COVID-19 Protocols.
