Princeton Public Library Extends Exhibition Featuring Works By Gwenn Seemel and Mic Boekelmann


(PRINCETON, NJ) -- "Letter Love" - an exhibition by Gwenn Seemel and Mic Boekelmann, two visual artists who use the alphabet to inspire conversations about belonging and identity, has been extended at the Princeton Public Library until September 30, 2021.

"Inspired by an Object" Exhibits in Montclair

(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Studio Montclair (SMI) presents “Inspired by an Object,” a concurrent exhibition from September 10 to October 15 at both Montclair Art Museum’s Vance Wall Art Education Gallery, 3 South Mountain Avenue, and Studio Montclair Gallery, 127 Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair, NJ. This exhibition is the fourth in SMI’s Community Partnership Exhibition Program created by cofounder and past president Virginia Block and features the artwork of 51 artists.


Novado Gallery Presents "FeelLicks" - new works by Paul Leibow

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Iconography, old and new, exists in our everyday lives. It is incorporated through a less traditional sense in Paul Leibow's work. In his new solo show"FeelLicks," figuration merges with abstraction, and the resulting paintings, installation, and sculpture present us with a visual playground of dark humor. Novado Gallery presents "FeelLicks," a solo exhibition of new works by Paul Leibow from September 10 through October 16, 2021. 


Nadia Hironaka and Matthew Suib’s New Immersive Installation, Field Companion, Transforms Rowan University Art Gallery Into a Microcosmic Forest

(GLASSBORO, NJ) -- Philadelphia-based artists Nadia Hironaka and Matthew Suib, known for their fantastical moving images and alternate realities, have created a new immersive film and installation for Rowan University Art Gallery. Field Companion, set in a microcosmic forest is based loosely on the pine barrens that dot Southern New Jersey. The exhibition runs from September 7th to October 30, 2021.  There will be an opening program on Thursday, September 16 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.


The Arts Council of Princeton presents photographs by Aubrey J. Kauffman

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Arts Council of Princeton will exhibit Constant Repeating Themes, a collection of photography works by Aubrey J. Kauffman, in their Taplin Gallery from September 11 through October 9. 


Visual Arts Center of New Jersey’s New Exhibitions to Focus on Work by Indigenous Artists

(SUMMIT, NJ) -- The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey (VACNJ) will open two new exhibitions on Saturday, October 9, that examine the interconnectivity of the human body, land, and water. Both will be on display until January 23, 2021.


D&R Greenway's Art Gallery Presents "Recovery"

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- D&R Greenway Land Trust has reopened its Marie L. Matthews Art Gallery at its Johnson Education Center in Princeton with the aptly named exhibit "Recovery" in partnership with the Garden State Watercolor Society. This river-focused 51st Annual Juried Exhibition will be available for reserved timed viewings from August 11 through October 17, 2021. Along with the juried exhibit, in the lobby of the Johnson Education Center, visitors will be greeted with the Garden State Watercolor Society's 3rd Annual Art Installation of over 100 mini-paintings illustrating aspects of the Delaware River, displayed among river stones.


HoBART returns with Art In The Native Landscape In October

(FRENCHTOWN, NJ) -- Now in its 4th year, the HoBART art show will feature an expanded list of some of the area’s leading sculptors, artists, and artisans spanning the Delaware river region from New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Art in the Native Landscape group show featuring artists of New Jersey and Pennsylvania exhibiting their work in a range of media. Indoors and outdoors on Saturday and Sunday October 2, 3, 9, 10 from 11:00am to 5:00pm. Located at Paul Steinbeiser's farm 718 County Route 519, Frenchtown. Rain or shine.


Derwent Art Prize 2022 - Now Calling for Entries

(KETTERING, OH) -- The Derwent Art Prize is launching its call for entries, giving artists from the UK and around the world the opportunity to show their work to a prestigious panel of judges, exhibit at galleryatoxo in central London, and win over $17,000 in prizes. Created in 2012 by Derwent, the fine art brand internationally renowned for its high-quality pencils, the Derwent Art Prize rewards excellence in contemporary graphic art.


Montclair Art Museum Presents Two New Transformative Exhibitions

(Montclair, NJ) -- Montclair Art Museum (MAM) has announced two new exhibitions ("Transformed: Objects Reimagined by American Artists" and "By Our Own Hand: Frontline Arts in collaboration with Donna Bassin" will open this fall, in addition to Color Riot! How Color Changed Navajo Textiles. All three exhibitions will open on September 11, 2021. Museum members will be invited to an Exhibition Preview on September 10, 2021.
