(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Novado Gallery presents Summer Mosaic - a group show from June 29 - August 23, 2025. Summer Mosaic is a celebration of diversity, not just in backgrounds or styles, but in the ways artists see, think, and translate their inner worlds into visual form. This group exhibition invites viewers into a layered experience, where every artwork holds a personal logic, every technique becomes a language, and every image carries the trace of intention.

Each artist brings something profoundly their own: a gesture, a sensibility, a lived moment. What connects the exhibition isn’t uniformity, but a shared authenticity and the desire to shape meaning through image, form, and material.

As Novado Gallery's mission is to showcase works that ignite dialogue, celebrate the artist’s vision, and challenge conventions; from established to emerging talents, local and non local artists; the Summer Mosaic exhibition features: (also from Jersey City's Exchange Place Alliance exhibition: "Of Many Minds"), the nationally exhibited sculptor Michael Alfano, with his human form-faces he waves in whimsical and symbolic introspection; each piece is striking and conceptually rich. His works are not confined to art galleries but they are installed on city street, university campuses, memorial sites, and waterfronts.

The internationally acclaimed photographer and director Markus Klinko, known for his iconic fashion and celebrity portraits, contributes a bold and visionary presence with works exhibited worldwide.

From Scotland to their walls, Susan MacDonald brings nature into her intentional camera movement photography, from her time in art residencies searching her land’s beauty with quiet power.

Dutch painter Lex Heilijgers, based in Utrecht, offers refined, abstract still-lifes that play with lines, forms, and the essential reduction of landscapes and objects, inviting viewers to meditate on the structure beneath the surface.

Painter and sculptor Steven Datz, (Skaneateles NY and Nevis) adds depth with his practice rooted in memory and imagination, crafting works with focused intention that examine how the mind constructs meaning.

They are proud to showcase local artists as well as Heidi Curko, an art instructor, whose gestural paintings present emotional cartographies as her intuitive responses to the psychological and social forces shaping her "inner landscape." Jersey City-based Nathalie Kalbach who captures narrative urban portraits, fragments of the city’s past and present, framed through a storyteller’s eye.  Steve Pearlman on the other hand, explores overlooked connections with his street-art photography, creating tension and meaning between unrelated elements. Robert Glisson that expresses emotional tone through landscape, always chasing the elusive, transcendent feeling of nature’s presence. Gallery owner and artist Anne Novado contributes her own voice with mixed-media works that are a fusion of abstraction and natural forms, elevated by an exquisite attention to surface and mark-making.

Eleazar Sanchez, widely recognized across Italy and Europe for his surrealist and sacred artworks, debuts for Summer Mosaic a new direction: “Dare 2”, the first in a fine-art-graffiti-photography series. His new works present a meditation on vulnerability and courage in the urban environment, marking a bold evolution in his practice, where contrast becomes catalyst.

Summer Mosaic does not offer one narrative, but offers many. In the harmony of contrasts, in the intersection of vision and vulnerability, we find a shared season: one of curiosity, transformation, and artistic courage.

There will be an Opening reception: Sunday, June 29, from 6:00pm-9:00pm.

Novado Gallery is located at 110 Morgan Street in Jersey City, New Jersey.
