"Yeah, yeah, just sitting here in my backyard having some coffee and knocking some interviews out. I have to admit, this is my spot. I get up every morning, I've got three dogs, a huge backyard, I sit here and have a cup of coffee, a cigarette and throw a ball for hours and then I feed them and come right back here to check emails and do interviews and whatever so, yes, this is definitely my spot; I'm an old grumpy man with a routine," laughed Dead Daisies frontman John Corabi as he discussed the band's latest record called "Light 'Em Up," the mystique of Muscle Shoals, the importance of music history to musicians and more.

Inaugural New Jersey Arts Icon Gala to Honor Dionne Warwick

(HOLMDEL, NJ) -- What the world needs now is LOVE, and legendary vocalist Dionne Warwick will bring that love to Bell Theater at Bell Works on Sunday, September 22, 2024 with a once-in-a-lifetime event in support of the Axelrod Performing Arts Center and Bell Theater's cultural arts and education programs. The inaugural New Jersey Arts Icon Gala will include a reception at 5:00pm and auction followed by a concert at 7:00pm featuring Warwick.

Makin Waves Album of the Month: "Garden State Vampire" by Joe P.

The latest Asbury Park artist signed to a major label is former Deal Casino mastermind Joe P. on Atlantic Records. Throughout their reign, Deal Casino, which Joe had fronted since eighth grade, was one of New Jersey's best bands. Therefore, it's no surprise that "Garden State Vampire," Joe's full-length debut LP and third solo release for the historic recording home of Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin and Led Zeppelin, is fantastic! Many of the 11 songs were co-written with former Deal Casino band mates and a few of the tracks include their drummer, Christopher Donofrio. A few other musicians, mainly drummers, also appear on the LP, but Joe plays most of the instruments, including drums on some tracks.

SoulShine is a New York-based ensemble consisting of guitarists Geoff Hartwell and Norm Dodge, keyboardist Chris Burke, bassist Big Bob Goetz, and drummers Rob Wallis and Ron Negro.
