Lizzie Rose Music Room: A Hidden Gem of South Jersey Music

Not far from Long Beach Island and just north of Atlantic City sits the small Ocean County town of Tuckerton. In that town stands an old Victorian house that has had many purposes over its history. That house has been transformed into a one-of-a-kind concert venue called the Lizzie Rose Music Room. Since its opening in late 2013, both artists and patrons have constantly returned because of its uniqueness and charm.

A singer, composer and actor, Lyle Lovett has broadened the definition of American music in a career that spans 14 albums. Coupled with his gift for storytelling, the Texas-based musician fuses elements of country, swing, jazz, folk, gospel, and blues in a convention-defying manner that breaks down barriers.

State Theatre New Jersey presents The Beach Boys on July 29th

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents The Beach Boys on Saturday, July 29 at 8:00pm. Since the band's co-founder, lead-singer, and chief lyricist Mike Love penned the lyrics to The Beach Boys' first hit, "Surfin'" (1961), dozens of the bands chart toppers have become eternal anthems of American youth: "Surfin' USA," "Surfer Girl," "Fun, Fun, Fun," "I Get Around," "California Girls," "Help Me Rhonda," "Barbara Ann," "Good Vibrations," "Wouldn't It Be Nice," "Rock and Roll Music," and "Kokomo."
