"That's right, yes! I think forty percent of the show is my solo stuff but the big event is "Foxtrot at 50" because we're on permanent catch up of course since it was released in 1972 but post COVID we're now years beyond; it's 50 years plus of "Foxtrot" but I'm looking forward to bringing it to the States," said a very enthusiastic Steve Hackett as he prepares for three consecutive nights at one of his favorite "Haunts," The Scottish Rite Auditorium in Collingswood, NJ beginning Thursday October 19. "I've been doing this in the rest of the world and it has gone down very well indeed. I think it happens to be a great album, it's an album that doesn't falter basically; that's the strength of it and it's much loved by fans of classic or early Genesis, including John Lennon who called us "Three sons of The Beatles" and I'm very proud of that. So, if he liked it, there must have been something in it that's worth preserving. So, I'm sort of undertaking not exactly a one man crusade but I think it's all about the musicianship and the quality of that, the team I am with reflecting the glories of the team that once was when Genesis was at its most fiery; putting the fire back into Genesis. I think that's my mission at this point in time and if I get to play people a couple of solo things that they like, I think they could be quite surprised if they found a team that was dear to them, that can be reached again now that the music can be just as emotional, powerful and well-played as all the rest."

Following the enthusiastic response to last season's hit Broadway review Neil Berg's 100 Years of Broadway, Berg now brings his all-new production, 101 Years of Broadway, a musical revue with more of the greatest songs from hit Broadway musicals of the century. This show features a dazzling cast of five Broadway stars accompanied by an all-star New York band.



Country-Rock Pioneers Pure Prairie League Bring Influential Sound to the Concert Stage

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Their sound was a staple of the '70s and early '80s, that melodic mixture of country-rock laced with FM radio pop. Pure Prairie League, with its crisp, clean harmonies and breezy songs, were innovative purveyors of that style. The band not only enjoyed commercial success, but also cemented its reputation as an early influence for future luminaries such as Keith Urban, Nickel Creek, Wilco, and Counting Crows.

State Theatre presents The Head and The Heart

Singer-songwriter Reagan Richards of the Asbury Park country duo Williams Honor with Gordon Brown is honoring her recently departed mother, Harriet, a big band singer from Pittsburgh who performed many times with Les Paul throughout her career. Reagan’s sentimental journey through the Great American Songbook, “with love, reagan,” features material by songwriting legends, such George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Johnny Mercer, and Rodgers & Hammerstein.



Croce Plays Croce 50th Anniversary

(RED BANK, NJ) — Multi-faceted singer/songwriter A.J. Croce comes to the Count Basie Center for the Arts on Monday, October 30, 2023 in celebration of two more of his father Jim Croce’s legendary albums, 1973’s Life and Times and his final release, I Got A Name, in addition to songs from You Don’t Mess Around With Jim. The concert begins at 7:30pm.
