2023 Rutgers Jewish Film Festival Preview

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) --The Rutgers Jewish Film Festival returns to in-theater screenings with fifteen award-winning films from Israel, Poland, Ukraine, Germany, the United States, and France. Running October 26 through November 12, the festival will present mid-Atlantic and New Jersey premieres, as well as discussions with filmmakers, actors, scholars, and other special guests. Screenings will be held in person at the Regal Cinema, North Brunswick, and the Rutgers Business School in Piscataway. Four films will be available in the virtual cinema.




 

State Theatre presents Mandy Patinkin in Concert: Being Alive

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents Mandy Patinkin in Concert: Being Alive on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 8:00pm. The program includes a collection of many of Patinkin's favorite Broadway and classic American tunes—from Irving Berlin to Stephen Sondheim, and from Cole Porter to Harry Chapin. Tickets range from $29-$99.

Seaside Sinatra Event Celebrates the Musical Legacy of Arranger Nelson Riddle

(AVON, NJ) -- The brilliance and musical genius of the iconic arranger, Nelson Riddle, will be the main focus and topic of discussion at the "Swingin Sinatra-Riddle Event", presented by Karen Morris of Sand Castle Communications. Although Nelson Riddle passed away thirty-eight years ago, on October 6, 1985, his music lives on, spanning generations, as he remains a prominent influencer in the music and recording industry.
