The Growing Stage presents NJ Premiere of "Arthur(tm) & Friends Make A Musical!"

(NETCONG, NJ) -- The Growing Stage: The Children's Theatre of New Jersey presents the New Jersey premiere of Arthur™ & Friends Make a Musical! This production,based on the Arthur™ book series created by Marc Brown and adapted for the stage with Book & Lyrics by John Maclay and Music & Lyrics by Brett Ryback, runs weekends from March 8-24, 2024 at the Historic Palace Theatre.




 

New Jersey Poetry Out Loud Announces 2024 State Finalists

(RED BANK, NJ) -- Following New Jersey's 2024 Poetry Out Loud Regional Competitions, twelve finalists will vie for this year's title of New Jersey State Champion at the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank. Regional competitions took place in early February at Appel Farm Arts & Music Center, Grunin Center for the Arts at Ocean County College, Mayo Performing Arts Center, Passaic County Community College, Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts, and South Orange Performing Arts Center.



McCarter Theatre presents "Dreamgirls"

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- This March, the McCarter Theatre Center, in a partnership with Goodspeed Musicals, presents the revival of the Tony® and Grammy® award-winning musical, Dreamgirls. Coming to Princeton after an acclaimed and blockbuster run in Connecticut, the production features talent that has illuminated stages from Broadway to national tours and graced airwaves on platforms like American Idol. Dreamgirls will take place at McCarter's Matthews Theatre from March 6-24, 2024.

In the last twenty years, I don't think I've met anyone as dedicated to the local music scene as Danny Coleman. He’s a writer, a DJ, an emcee for events, and a musician himself. Most of all, he is consistent. He’s doing these things week after week after week. I have seen a lot of people come and go in the local music scene over the years, but Danny just keeps plugging away and his radio show will celebrate its 15th anniversary with a big bash on April 28th.
