Adelphi Orchestra presents Northern Harmonies Concert featuring Violinist Matthew Hakkarainen

(RIVER EDGE, NJ) -- The Adelphi Orchestra, New Jersey's longest continuously performing orchestra, presents Northern Harmonies, a stirring concert showcasing the works of Sibelius, Grieg, and Svendsen under the baton of Maestro Kyunghun Kim. The concert takes place on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 3:00pm at the Broadway Presbyterian Church in New York City and on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at 2:00pm at the Fair Lawn Community Center in New Jersey.




 

New Jersey Ballet to present "LEGACY & VISION" and the World Premiere of Harrison Ball's "New Ancient Strings" at NJPAC

(NEWARK, NJ) -- With its 66-year legacy of excellence, the New Jersey Ballet under the extraordinary vision of the Company's Artistic Director Maria Kowroski, returns to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) for a weekend performance series, Friday-Saturday, April 24-25, 2025 at 7:30pm. The exciting new program LEGACY & VISION centers around Twyla Tharp's Nine Sinatra Songs and a world premiere by Harrison Ball.



Monmouth University's Center for the Arts presents the 'Art on Screen' series

(WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- Monmouth University's Center for the Arts presents the Art on Screen series which takes you into the Dawn of Impressionism and includes spotlights on Georgia O'Keeffe and Michelangelo.  Films are shown in the Pollak Theatre.



George Street Playhouse presents "The Shark is Broken" - a comedy about the making of "Jaws"

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- George Street Playhouse presents The Shark is Broken, written by Ian Shaw and Joseph Nixon (Spy), from April 29 through May 18, 2025. Directed by Peter Flynn (Fiddler on the Roof), the cast includes Jason Babinsky (Network) as Roy Scheider, Jeffrey M. Bender (A Time to Kill) as Robert Shaw, and Max Wolkowitz (The Sabbath Girl: The Musical) as Richard Dreyfuss.



American Theater Group's Monday Night Play Reading Series presents "King of the Hollywood Fixers" by Douglas J. Cohen

(RAHWAY, NJ) -- American Theater Group (ATG), in partnership with the Union County Performing Arts Center (UCPAC), will present the premiere reading of King of the Hollywood Fixers by Douglas J. Cohen as part of its free Monday Night Play Reading Series on April 14, 2025 at Hamilton Stage in Rahway. The cast will feature Briga Heelan, who most recently played Cinderella on Broadway in Once Upon a One More Time and is known for TV's Cougar Town and Ground Floor, and Robert Sella, whose many Broadway credits include Flying Over Sunset, Sideman and Cabaret. Showtime is 7:00pm.
