"Murrow" by Theater Project Playwright Joseph Vitale to Open in Dallas

Murrow, a one-character drama about the life of legendary broadcaster Edward R. Murrow by a member of The Theater Project's playwrights’ workshop, will open at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas, TX, on April 11. The play, by Joseph Vitale, had its world premiere at The Theater Project in 2015 and ran Off-Off Broadway at the Phoenix Theatre in 2016.



Art House Productions presents 2024 INKubator New Play Festival

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Art House Productions presents the 2024 INKubator New Play Festival from May 13-21. This year's playwrights are Upasna Barath, Amanda Sage Comerford, Leo Layla Díaz, Neil Levi, Dave Osmundsen, and Marcus Scott. Audiences who attend the festival will have the opportunity to participate in conversations with the writers, directors, and actors following each performance. All readings are free to attend, but advanced registration is required.



Centenary Stage Company presents "Backwards Forwards Back"

(HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Centenary Stage Company presents Jaqueline Goldfinger�s Backwards Forwards Back as part of the National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere. Performances take place April 4-6, April 11-14, 2024 in the Kutz Blackbox Theatre. The play tells the story of a soldier who returns from war carrying the ghosts of their tour, they're then faced with a sobering decision: address their alarming PTSD with Virtual Reality therapy, or risk losing access to their family forever.

Jersey City Theater Center Presents "Cabaret in Captivity": A Powerful Exploration of Art and Survival in Terezín

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Jersey City Theater Center (JCTC) presents Cabaret in Captivity, a poignant and thought-provoking theatrical experience set to take the stage on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 9:00pm. Conceived by Edward Einhorn and developed and directed by Einhorn and Jenny Lee Mitchell, Cabaret in Captivity brings to life songs and sketches written in Terezín/Theresienstadt, the Nazi concentration camp in Czechoslovakia. Full of satire, bitter humor, and hope, these pieces serve as a testament to how art became a vital survival technique for the inmates during one of history's darkest chapters.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.

"Yeah, the idea started early last year," enthusiastically stated guitarist Adrian Vandenberg as he discussed his upcoming "My Whitesnake Years" tour, a conglomeration of hits from some of the most revered classic rock acts of all time. "Last year it was 35 years ago when Whitesnake headlined the legendary Donington Festival in England. So, we thought it would be a good thing to celebrate that anniversary and do a "My Whitesnake Years" tour and when we were done, people from all over the world began asking if we'd be willing to do a run here or there and we went to Scandinavia, Spain and there is actually more stuff in the pipeline for next year also and of course now to the United States and it has been a lot of fun so far."
