(MAPLEWOOD, NJ) -- The annual free two-day Maplewoodstock Music and Arts Festival will take place on Saturday, July 13, and Sunday, July 14, 2024. Music begins at noon each day and ends around 9:30pm. Remember Jones and Daniel Donato's Cosmic Country are the festival's headliners.

Few actors have as much credit in the cinephile bank as Ethan Hawke. While all around him actors are dropping their pants for the Disney dildo, Hawke insists on taking roles he's actually interested in, and working with filmmakers he respects. Nobody bats an eyelid when Hawke name drops some literary figure or arthouse auteur in an interview. We fully believe in him as a well read, thoughtful renaissance man. That wasn't always the case though. Back in 1996 he was roundly mocked for having the audacity to write a novel, met with the sort of snobbish "stick to the day job, stay in your lane" derision we now see levelled at any sports personalities who dare to express an interest in any subject outside their competitive field. Hawke's latest film as director, Flannery O'Connor biopic Wildcat, is so terrible that even the kindest of critics may think Hawke might be better off sticking to his day job after all.
(NEWARK, NJ) -- The New Jersey Symphony will present four performances of "Epic Scores of John Williams and More!," featuring well-known and well-loved themes from the Star Wars and Harry Potter franchises as well as some of the most famous musical moments in movie history. Performances take place May 30 through June 2, 2024 in Newark, Red Bank, and New Brunswick venues.
(HOBOKEN, NJ) -- The 2024 Hoboken Spring Arts & Music Festival will take place on Sunday, May 19 from 11:00am to 6:00pm. It takes place on Washington Street between Observer Highway and Seventh Street. The free festival features displays and sales by over 250 artists, crafters, food vendors, and local businesses.

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. (OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.

"Last year it was 35 years ago when Whitesnake headlined the legendary Donington Festival in England. So, we thought it would be a good thing to celebrate that anniversary and do a "My Whitesnake Years" tour and when we were done, people from all over the world began asking if we'd be willing to do a run here or there and we went to Scandinavia, Spain and there is actually more stuff in the pipeline for next year also and of course now to the United States and it has been a lot of fun so far."
