2025 Horizon Sounds of the City at NJPAC

(NEWARK, NJ) -- For almost 30 years, Horizon Sounds of the City has attracted thousands of fans to New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC)'s Chambers Plaza for Newark's largest outdoor dance party. Each performance feels like a festival thanks to the weekly presence of food trucks, sponsor giveaways and resource tables run by healthcare organizations and Newark nonprofits.

"We've played there before; we've sold it out eight times in a row and it's in my hometown of Tuckerton where I grew up as a kid," began guitarist and New Jersey staple Billy Walton as he eagerly discussed his new single, "Knife In My Back" and his upcoming May 24 appearance at The Lizzie Rose Music Room. "What's great about the venue is that we get to play what we do on tour in Europe; all original, all our own stuff, we go back and take stuff from our old catalog and some new songs and it's a chance for people to see what we do overseas when we tour."

Princeton University Art Museum presents solo exhibition by multidisciplinary artist Léni Paquet-Morante

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Léni Paquet-Morante: Extract / Abstract, an exhibition of recent works by the Hamilton, New Jersey–based painter, will be on display at the Princeton University Art Museum's ArtatBainbridge gallery from July 19 to November 9, 2025. Through a combination of process-driven imagery, abstraction, and color, Paquet-Morante's work reconfigures familiar landscape elements to capture the elusiveness of memory and dreams. Curated by Michael Quituisaca, a graduate student in Princeton’s Department of Art & Archaeology, the exhibition will showcase works by the artist across acrylic painting, ink drawing, and monoprints.



Axelrod PAC adds Glen Burtnik's Summer of Love Concert and Best of The Eagles to Summer Lineup

(DEAL PARK, NJ) -- Two new concerts have been added to the Axelrod Performing Arts Center's exciting summer lineup, taking audiences on a memory-filled trip back to the '60s and '70s. On Sunday, August 17, 2025, celebrate the songs of the Woodstock generation with Glen Burtnik's Summer of Love Concert. On Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 7:00pm, Best of the Eagles returns to Axelrod PAC after a sold-out show last summer.

This series, running from September through June, is co-presented by NJPAC's Jazz Advisory Committee and Rutgers University–Newark's Institute of Jazz Studies (IJS). State Theatre New Jersey presents The Sound Studio Series 2026

Arden Children's Theatre presents "The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales"

(PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- This spring, Arden Children's Theatre invites families into a hilariously twisted world where classic fairy tales don't go quite as expected in its next production of the 2025/26 season, The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales (The Stinky Cheese Man). Based on the beloved book by Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith, adapted by John Glore, the production brings the book's fractured fairy tales to life for kids and adults alike. Directed by Steve Pacek, the production runs on the Arden’s Arcadia stage with previews starting April 8, opening night on April 18, with performances running through May 31.
