The Big Apple Comedy Club presents Anthony DeVito, Katie Hannigan, Moody McCarthy and John Rizzo at Newton Theatre

(NEWTON, NJ) -- The Big Apple Comedy Club returns to The Newton Theatre on Friday, July 11, 2025. This laugh-packed night features four, hilarious comedians coming to the stage for one epic night. Don’t miss Anthony DeVito, Katie Hannigan, Moody McCarthy and John Rizzo. Showtime is 8:00pm.

Anthony Devito - Originally from New Jersey, Anthony DeVito is a NYC based comedian. He's appeared on CBS’ Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Comedy Central Stand Up Presents: Anthony DeVito, Comedy Central's Adam Devine's House Party, The Montreal Just for Laughs Festival and AXS TV’s Gotham Comedy Live. His debut album “Dream Occupation" is available from Comedy Central Records. In addition to stand-up, Anthony was a writer on Netflix's The Break with Michelle Wolf, wrote for the White House Correspondents Dinner and was a writer/regular panelist on MSG's People Talking Sports and Other Stuff. He also has appeared on TV Land's The Jim Gaffigan Show, HBO’s Pause with Sam Jay and is a favorite on Sirius XM's “Bennington.”

Katie Hannigan is a stand up comic, actor and writer. Her stand up has been featured on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Comedy Central, Just For Laughs New Faces, The Late Late Show with James Cordon and MTV. Her debut album “Feeling of Emptiness” was named Ten Best of 2022 by the Interrobang. Katie has appeared in That Damn Michael Che, Succession, PBSkids and many indie films and sketches. Katie's writing credits include the original series Death Hacks staring Thomas Middleditch and Kristen Schaal for Augenblick Studios. Katie hosts the popular podcast "Lady Journey} with comedian Sarah Tollemache.

Moody McCarthy is quite simply one of America's sharpest young comedy minds. Besides being in constant demand at America and New York's very best clubs including The World Famous Comedy Cellar, Caroline’s Comedy Club and Gotham Comedy Club, Moody has appeared on many television shows including CBS' “Star Search,”ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live”, America’s Got Talent, ”NBC’s “Last Comic Standing”, 2 appearances on CBS’ “The Late Show with David Letterman” and, most recently, Conan on TBS. Moody can also be heard regularly on SiriusXM Radio and appears regularly at the country’s best casinos including Mohegan Sun and The Borgata where he shares the stage with big names such as Brian Regan, Wanda Sykes, Lewis Black and Robert Klein.

Johnny Rizzo is one of America’s Funniest People. Literally. If you don’t believe us, just ask ABC Television where he was the $10,000 winner on the show of the same name. Known for his “rubber face,” Johnny is also a club favorite throughout the country and a regular at New York City’s and Los Angeles’ best comedy clubs including Dangerfields, The Gotham Comedy Club, and The World Famous Improv. He has been seen on many televison shows including A & E’s Comedy on the Road, The Joan Lunden Show and VH-I Stand Up Spotlight.
