Capital Philharmonic of New Jersey Premieres Groundbreaking Symphonic Jazz Collaboration Between Poet Yusef Komunyakaa and Composer Vince di Mura

(TRENTON, NJ) -- The Capital Philharmonic of New Jersey (CPNJ) proudly presents the world premiere of Oh God... Beautiful Machine on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Patriots Theater at Trenton's War Memorial. This is a monumental symphonic jazz work which wrestles with the conundrum of loving the earth in a time of climate change. The collaboration features text composed by Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Yusef Komunyakaa and music composed by Princeton University Composer-in-Residence, Vince di Mura.

"Blue Skies Yonder" by Peter Fenton to have Staged Reading at ArtWorks

(TRENTON, NJ) -- A free staged reading of Blue Skies Yonder, a new dark comedy by Peter Fenton, will take place at Artworks in downtown Trenton on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at 2:00pm. This event will be the play's first public presentation. The reading is directed by Trenton actress, writer, and acting coach Monah Yancy and stars Fenton himself in the role of Harrison Fowler. Both Fenton and Yancy are members of the administrative staff of Passage Theatre, the only professional theater company in Trenton.

The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers.
