Dragonfly Multicultural Arts Center presents "Macbeth"

(PLAINFIELD, NJ) -- Dragonfly Multicultural Arts Center will bring one of Shakespeare's most haunting tragedies to life this fall with its production of Macbeth, running October 24 through November 2, 2025, at the duCret Center of Art. Macbeth tells the chilling story of a Scottish nobleman whose ambition, stoked by prophecy and manipulation, drives him to murder and madness. Filled with witches, ghosts, and unforgettable poetry, this timeless play explores the corrupting power of unchecked desire and the devastating consequences of moral compromise.

(MIDDLETOWN, NJ) -- The MAC Players at the Middletown Arts Center present URINETOWN, the hilarious musical with a terrible name, running October 17–26, 2025. Audiences can expect a wickedly funny, fast-paced satire that takes on the legal system, capitalism, social irresponsibility, populism, environmental collapse, privatization of natural resources, bureaucracy, municipal politics and even the very conventions of musical theatre itself. The photography exhibit has an opening reception on Oct. 16 and is on display through Nov. 23 at 503 Social Club, a visual and performing arts space James founded in Hoboken.

The Flip Side, a completely improvised theatrical comedy experience, brings sharp, unscripted humor to the Madison Community Arts Center every other month — and it's anything but predictable. The Flip Side is the house team of Vivid Stage, a professional theatre company based in Summit.

New Release Review - "The Lost Bus"

The disaster movie meets true life drama in The Lost Bus, the latest in director Paul Greengrass's growing line of cinematic recreations of headline news incidents. This one is inspired by a story of heroism that emerged from the 2018 California "Camp Fire," the deadliest fire in the state's history, which claimed 85 lives and left tens of thousands of residents displaced. The fire began in the morning when a faulty transmission tower released a live electrical cable whose sparks ignited the dry grass below. Within hours the authorities had declared a mass casualty event.

(TEANECK, NJ) -- The award-winning PBS documentary series, INDEPENDENT LENS, presents the launch of the upcoming season of Indie Lens Pop-Up in partnership with the Teaneck International Film Festival and the Puffin Cultural Forum. The season kicks-off on February 4, 2026 with The Librarians and continues through May. The series is free for all but sign up is required.

State Theatre New Jersey presents The Sound Studio Series 2026
