The Wellmont Theater presents Whitney Cummings

(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- The Wellmont Theater presents Whitney Cummings on Saturday, February 12. Hailed as “the reigning Queen of American stand-up,” Whitney is one of the preeminent comedic voices currently working as a stand-up comedian, actor, writer, producer and director. Following the success of her sold out “Codependent Tour”, she is currently on her “Touch Me” stand up comedy theatre tour which spans 50 cities across North America. Doors are at 6:00pm, Showtime is 7:00pm. Ricky Velez will open the night.



Monmouth County Park System To Hold E. Murray Todd Half Marathon On March 13th

(LINCROFT, NJ) -- The Monmouth County Park System will hold its annual E. Murray Todd Half Marathon on Sunday, March 13. This 13.1-mile race takes runners through Lincroft, Holmdel and Colts Neck. The race begins at 8:30am at Brookdale Community College, Newman Springs Road, Lincroft. Race medals will be awarded to all registered finishers.



Celtic Thunder Ireland Comes To MPAC on March 4th

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- International sensation Celtic Thunder storms onto the stage at Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) with their latest live show, IRELAND, Friday, March 4 at 7:30pm. This is a brand-new revue show that revisits their most popular Irish and Celtic songs of the past decade and celebrates the influence of Irish and Celtic music around the world. Tickets range from $59-$99.



Our Favorite Stories In Theatre: "Too Heavy For My Pocket" - a play about the civil rights movement

New Jersey Stage published its 25,000th story in December 2021. As the site approached the milestone, we posed the question on social media as how we should celebrate.  One response was to highlight our favorite stories from over the years.  We liked this idea, but could not narrow things down to just 25 favorites so we will present a favorite each day from different genres.  Every Tuesday we feature one of our favorite stories in theatre. This week's choice is a feature on "Too Heavy For My Pocket" - a play about the civil rights movement at George Street.








"3 Egg Creams - A Rhapsody in the Rain" comes to Playhouse 22 For Valentine's Weekend

(EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- 3 Egg Creams - A Rhapsody in the Rain, a show inspired by and featuring the timeless music of Lou Christie, is coming to Playhouse 22 in East Brunswick for performances on Saturday, February 12th at 8:00pm and Sunday, February 13th at 3:00pm. The show stars Vince Bandille and is directed by George Cameron Grant (who also wrote the show). It's a story about first love, second chances, and the courage to take them.

Threads of Desire screens at the Spring 2022 New Jersey Film Festival on February 11

Threads of Desire, Bianca Di Marco’s gorgeous 35 mm film, takes the viewer on a journey to the Italian countryside in an exploration of desire and its impact on a farmer, Bettina. The film will be available for streaming worldwide on Friday, February 11 through the New Jersey Film Festival.



The Ritz Theatre Company partners with Camden County College to present "Greater Tuna"

(HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- The Ritz Theatre Company has partnered with Camden County College for the first time ever to present Greater Tuna, a hilarious send-up of small-town morals and mores that features just two actors creating the entire population of Tuna (Texas’ third-smallest town) in a “tour de farce” of quick change artistry. The show runs at The Ritz from February 11th through February 27th.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.
