Zimmerli Exhibition features New Jersey-Born Artist Whose Work Extended Beyond the Walls of the Studio and Imprinted His Community

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- Born in North Plainfield, New Jersey, and raised in Boston, Allan Rohan Crite (1910-2007) created a rich visual record of Black life in 20th-century urban America, revealing a sense of community that resonates across time and place. The new exhibition Allan Rohan Crite: Neighborhood, running from February 11 to July 31, 2026 at the Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers—New Brunswick, offers a sweeping overview of his long career as a storyteller and cultural historian who chronicled the everyday lives of his friends and neighbors.

RVCC Holocaust Institute to present Exhibition Focusing on the Life of Anne Frank

(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- Raritan Valley Community College's Institute of Holocaust and Genocide Studies will present a new exhibition, Anne Frank, A History for Today, on display from February 9 to April 2, 2026. The exhibit will be showcased in the Morris and Dorothy Hirsch Research Library, located on the second floor of RVCC's Evelyn S Field Library.

Beginning on February 5, 2026, moe. will start their upcoming Born to Fly tour in South Burlington, VT with a 3-night run. This tour will feature a 4-night run at the Ardmore Music Hall in Ardmore, PA from March 4-7th, the longest of many multiple night residencies. Moe. will also perform at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood, NJ on April 11th. This tour marks over 3 decades of music and life for these jam band veterans. Prior to the start of the new tour, I was honored to speak with Rob Derhak (bassist).

Arden

Arden Theatre Company presents "Dear Evan Hansen"

(PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- Arden Theatre Company brings the Tony Award-winning musical, Dear Evan Hansen, to the F. Otto Haas Stage this spring. Featuring a book by Steven Levenson and music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the production is directed by Terrence J. Nolen and co-conceived by Jorge Cousineau and Nolen. Performances begin May 21, the show opens May 27, and runs through July 5, 2026.



MPAC

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.
