West Windsor Arts presents Trenton Community A-TEAM exhibition

(WEST WINDSOR, NJ) -- West Windsor Arts welcomes back the Trenton Community A-TEAM for an exhibition from August 30 to October 29, in the West Windsor Arts gallery, to highlight their artists. The opening reception is September 11 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at West Windsor Arts, free and open to the public.



"Bruce Springsteen Live!" Exhibit Set to Open in Los Angeles at the Grammy Museum

For nearly half a century, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have exemplified the crowd-pleasing, soul-shaking, energy-exploding excitement of rock and roll onstage. From an intimate look into Springsteen’s creative process to shedding light on how he became – and remains – one of the greatest live performers in rock and roll history, Bruce Springsteen Live! explores the evolution of Springsteen through the decades and grants exclusive backstage access to Springsteen and the E Street Band’s legendary performances.



Ritz Theatre presents World Premiere of "The Bisley Boy"

(HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- Everyone knows how hard it is to get to Broadway. It turns out it is not too easy to get to Haddon Township, New Jersey, either. Just ask the South Jersey creators of a new musical, The Bisley Boy: Joshua Bessinger, Krysten Cummings and Collin Maier. The show will have its world premiere at the Ritz Theatre Company in Haddon Township on Friday, September 16th and will run through Sunday, October 2nd. 








New Jersey Theatre Alliance Announces Expanded Partnership with NJ State Council on the Arts

New Jersey Theatre Alliance has announced a renewed and expanded partnership with the New Jersey State Council on the Arts to provide general services and support to its member theatres. The expanded partnership also includes increased support for the Cultural Access Network Project (CAN), a program to assist the state’s cultural organizations as they make programs and services accessible to people with disabilities and older adults; New Jersey Arts and Culture Administrators of Color (NJACAC), a network of professional arts administrators of color dedicated to advancing efforts related to equity, diversity, and inclusion within New Jersey’s arts community; and the Playwrights Showcase, a program to support and highlight the work of the Arts Council’s most recent playwriting Fellowship recipients.



MPAC’s Performing Arts Company is Holding Open Auditions September 11-12

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- MPAC’s Performing Arts Company, now in its 13th year, is seeking talented, serious musical theatre performers ages 13-21 who can sing, dance, and act and are looking to use their talent to better the community! This musical troupe acts as ambassadors for the Mayo Performing Arts Center by performing Broadway-style musical numbers at community events, fundraisers, hospitals, special events, and festivals around New Jersey.



The Hermitage Artist Retreat Announces Playwright and Screenwriter Madeleine George as Recipient of the $35,000 Hermitage Major Theater Award

Andy Sandberg, Artistic Director and CEO of the Hermitage Artist Retreat, announced on September 7, 2022 that accomplished playwright and screenwriter Madeleine George, currently a writer on the hit Hulu series “Only Murders in the Building,” has been newly selected as the 2021 recipient of the Hermitage Major Theater Award (HMTA). This national jury-selected prize, established by the Hermitage last year with generous support from the Kutya Major Foundation, offers one of the largest non-profit theater commissions in the country. George will receive a cash prize of $35,000, as well as a residency at the Hermitage (Sarasota County, Florida) and a developmental workshop in a major arts capital such as New York, Chicago, or London in the fall of 2023.



Count Basie Center presents Debbie Gibson's Winterlicious: An Evening of Holiday and Hits

(RED BANK, NJ) -- The Count Basie Center for the Arts presents Debbie Gibson’s Winterlicious – An Evening of Holiday and Hits on Wednesday, November 30 at 7:30pm. As the sole composer on each of her Top 20 singles, Gibson was recognized by ASCAP as Songwriter of the Year in 1989. She has sold more than 16 million albums worldwide and released 10 studio albums and five compilations.



Monmouth County's Wind & Sea Festival Celebrates The Bayshore

(PORT MONMOUTH, NJ) -- From kite flying to seining, the Monmouth County Park System’s upcoming Wind & Sea Festival is brimming with coastal activities for the whole family to enjoy.  Held on Saturday, September 17 from 11:00am-5:00pm, this event will take place at Bayshore Waterfront Park, Port Monmouth. Visitors are invited to try kayaking, fishing, kite flying, seining, shell painting, and much more! Most activities are free but some may have a fee. Admission and parking are free.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.
