The State Ballet Theatre of Ukraine presents "The Nutcracker" at NJPAC

(NEWARK, NJ) -- The internationally acclaimed State Ballet Theatre of Ukraine returns to New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) with a sparkling production of the world’s favorite masterpiece of classical ballet, The Nutcracker, choreographed by Andrey Litvinov and directed by Konstantin Pinchuk. The performance takes place on Sunday, December 12th at 3:00pm.



Inis Nua Theatre's Popular Pop-Up Play in a Pub returns to Fergie's Pub with a Handmade Pie, A Cold Pint, and a Side of Comedic Theatre

(PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- Inis Nua Theatre Company will open its 19th season with the American premiere of 10 Dates With Mad Mary, written by Irish-Pakistani playwright Yasmine Akram. This comedy play tells the story of Mary McArdle, an antisocial young woman trying to find a date for her best friend’s wedding. This raucous one-woman show marks the return of Inis Nua’s Pop-Up Play in a Pub, a popular event with Inis Nua regulars and newcomers alike. The show runs from October 26, 2022 until November 6, for a total of eight performances at Fergie's Pub (1214 Sansom Street) in Philadelphia.



NJEDA Approves Historic Property Reinvestment Program (HPRP) tax credits to support the rehabilitation of Loew's Theatre in Jersey City

(TRENTON, NJ) -- On October 12, 2022, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) Board approved the award of Historic Property Reinvestment Program (HPRP) tax credits to support the rehabilitation of Loew’s Theatre in Jersey City. This project, which marks the first award under the HPRP, is expected to result in the complete rehabilitation of the historic theater for use as a live performance, movie, and entertainment venue. The Board authorized the award of $42.27 million in tax credits, representing 45 percent of the eligible cost under the project, which has an estimated total cost of $110 million.



Brett Altman to Have Album Release Show in Jersey City

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Brett Altman will have a album release show for Not Quite Love on Friday, October 21 at 8:00pm.  The show takes place at NonLinear Knitting Studio in Jersey City. Not Quite Love is an album three years in the making.

Acc Gallery presents Exhibit Inspired by Homage Klimt

(TENAFLY, NJ) -- Acc Gallery presents a special exhibition under the title,“KISS”, for Homage Klimt, from October 11-31, 2022. Gustav Klimt was a well-known Austrian painter from the late 19th to early 20th centuries, who formed the Vienna Secession and was a representative Art Nouveau painter and symbolist who did not put the boundaries between decorative art and fine art.



Vivid Stage Announces Late Fall Improv Class for Adults and Teens

(SUMMIT, NJ) -- Vivid Stage, in residence at Oakes Center at 120 Morris Avenue in Summit, is offering a new season of improv classes for adults and teens aged 18 and up. The next session, taught by instructor Shereen Hickman, will be held Wednesday evenings from 7:30pm-9:30pm starting November 9. 



Axelrod PAC presents "The Nutcracker Rocks" in December

(DEAL PARK, NJ) -- Axelrod Contemporary Ballet Theater (AXCBT), Monmouth County’s only professional ballet company, returns home to the Axelrod Performing Arts Center with ten performances of The Nutcracker Rocks in December. The ballet is conceived, choreographed, and directed by AXCBT Artistic Director Gabriel Chajnik, introducing a new holiday tradition for the whole family. The Nutcracker ROCKS reinvents this holiday favorite with a high-octane, rock-and-roll Jersey Shore twist.

PBS' Independent Lens Launches 20th Season of Free Pop-Up Screening Series in Teaneck and Nationwide

(TEANECK, NJ) -- The award-winning PBS documentary series, INDEPENDENT LENS, presents the launch of the upcoming season of Indie Lens Pop-Up in partnership with the Teaneck International Film Festival and the Puffin Cultural Forum. The season kicks-off on February 4, 2026 with The Librarians and continues through May. The series is free for all but sign up is required.
